Springvale Homestead has accommodation, caravan park and tours.
It is near the town of Katherine in the Northern Territory.

I was going to make it modular, with a full interior, but once I set the lighting up, I realized the wiring was in the way, so I could access the the two floors and the basement.

Nice and crabby soup, but I forgot they used rice vermicelli instead of the thicker spaghetti-like rice noodles. Still good though!

The 1965 Report of the Director-General of Social Services noted that the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service had acquired land in "Glen Waverley for a new residential centre to replace the ‘Maryport’ Centre at Mt. Martha." The new Centre would provide treatment for 100 residents and 40 day cases.
The site is now called the Victorian Rehabilitation Centre.

I take my friend Rasa to Springvale once a week for fresh vegies & all different Cjinese/Vietnamese goodies. He's a lovely old fella - a bit like a surrogate grandad and is good to go shopping with as he loves to look at EVERYHING, just like me.

Very aptly named King Alfred's Cakes fungi (Daldinia concentrica) growing on a dead tree near the old Main Adit of Cwmbran Colliery..
For those unfamiliar with British history, King Alfred the Great (849 - 899 AD), whilst hiding from the Danes following defeat, is alleged to have sheltered in a peasant house. Asked by the woman of the house to watch her cakes, he let them burn. He later went on to defeat the Danes and became the first monarch to call himself "King of the Anglo-Saxons", and is regarded as the founder of England.
You would imagine if you were going to huff paint you would go for a slightly more inconspicuous colour. Surely a clear enamel could save you looking like a deranged Kermit the Frog.
