Springroll is a very common dish in the Tet holiday (Lunar New Year) of every Vietnamese family.
With numerous ingredients varied from vegetables, meat to fresh herbs, eaten together with delicious mixed fish sauce, this is cannot miss once you have chance to experience the Vietnamese Tet :).
The tat soy (related to bok choy), carrots, and cilantro were grown in Arizona and super-fresh. The bell pepper was from a co-op with great produce. The bean sprouts were the weakest link. These were so yummy. There was a peanut sauce to go with them.
The BEST spring rolls in Singapore, even the President of SIngapore has stopped in. They are THAT GOOD...and only $3 each!!

Step 2, to wrapping a spring roll: roll the wrapper tightly around the filling, but not too tightly or else the wrapper will rip. My mom demonstrates.
Next time I'd pass on the springrolls. They were just okay. Ironically needed more veggies and with so many other vegetarian dishes to try...
