A sea of daisies at the Briggs Nursery in North Attleboro, Massachusetts.

My colony of Renaissance ranunculi.

This is the Renaissance Ranunculus 'Pastello Striato' from the Biancheri family of San Remo, Italy.

These ranunculi have cream to white petals with a strong purple picotee edge. They are double flowers.

They are sold in Australia by Tesselaars Bulbs & Corms, at Monbulk (near Melbourne), in Victoria. You buy them online and the corms are mailed to you in time to plant in Autumn.

Photographed yesterday here in the Hills District of Sydney.

Tuesday, 30th September, 2025.

Beautiful Spring blooms in my Mom's neighbourhood!

Siberian irises

Lily of the valley is very invasive plant and spreads quickly without boundary. These clusters were found underneath some bushes off the flower bed.

Went to water our new pollinator habitat garden at the community gardens last evening and came across this surprise - a perfect little bird next with three beautiful little eggs! But it's on the ground in a patch of mint.

Friends who are "birders" think it's by some species of Thrush - who do sometimes set up their nests on the ground. Thoughts from any of you who know North American birds?

Whoever it is, hopefully they'll survive and we'll get to watch them hatch and grow! 💗

UPDATE: Turns out it is an American Robin's nest - however unusual it might be. Mom is diligent in keeping her eggs warm and we're trying to stay out of her way while still maintaining our gardens. Not sure what the future holds for tiny Robins in a nest on the ground, should they hatch, but we'll keep an eye on them as best we can.

According to legend, all flowers bowed to Jesus when he was on his way to Calvary in the garden of Gethsemane. They did this out of respect. One flower stood upright arrogantly. An angel came down and had a word with the flower. The fritillaria blushed with shame and put his head down. While his head was hanging, he cried… and cried. The tears continued to flow as shiny drops of nectar.

At the edge of a beautiful woodland-edge patch of ferns. And Emmy is sure there must be squirrels ️️close by, to chase. Or maybe even bunnies. She's silly almost all the time except when she smells little critters. And then she's 100% focused on the "hunt."

P.S. No 🐇🐇️️or squirrels were harmed to get this shot. 💗

Paeonia “Monsieur Jules Elie” Peony cultivar

The Narcissi or Daffodils are so captivating in the garden, all gardens in fact, even in the forests!! This golden yellow colour they have, illuminates and jubilates all their environment during their Spring life !

*****In the Greek Mythology, Narcissus was an extremely handsome god, and a hunter! But he committed suicide watching his reflection in the water, after falling in love with it, when realizing that it was just a reflection and not a real person! At the spot where he died , a beautiful little plant started growing every Spring, which was called Narcissus, after this handsome god!

Slit Mouth Woman (口裂け女)

It is an urban legend that spread to Japan in 1979.

Am I beautiful?

Slit Mouth Woman asks the child

I also asked!

Everyone replied at once.

The day today is grey, but the garden is already colorful, with Tulips and blossoms!! ❤ Springtime!!! ❤

And Liza, as most of the Springs, is busy gardening hard!! Weeding is the major occupation, which I perform on my knees, turning the soil right afterwards, in each spot where I work. This action helps eliminate most of the weeds, even the tiniest ones, because it destroys the plant, drying it off at the same time…I should not water right afterwards, for better results…

Gardening is a major healing occupation for mind, and body, and spirit!! For the body, because movement is always beneficial for us, unless it is against a certain physical problem of ours…For the mind, because we are concentrated fully to the land and our job while working, something that takes us away from problematic areas of our lives during this creative occupation!! For our spirit, because we become one with the Existence and Creation of Life! And, I must say, its Rebirth now in Spring!! Therefore, we refill our beings with beneficial, uplifting, Earth Force Energy!! The Energy of Life itself! ❤❤!
