I need an intervention.. please.
I'm totally addicted to macro's of Spring Blossom... I'm going blind in my focusing eye.
After well over 60 years of taking photo's I can honestly say you never get bored with it... even after another dark, grey day we got the a glimpse of a sunset tonight. Notice f/0 and 0.0mm - that's because I used a manual only Extension Tube.
Artist Of The Year Level 2 Cover Photo..
I bought a set of new Extension Tubes from Amazon, total cost including P&P was £6. It included 7mm, 14mm and 24mm tubes plus adaptors for Nikon F fit. I took this with the 7mm for extra macro. You can only use them in the "M" setting of 1/640 ISO200

The most common ornamental pear in North Texas is the Bradford cultivar of the Callery pear (Pyrus calleryana), but other common varieties include the Aristocrat and Autumn Blaze. The different cultivars exhibit different fall colors, but all have the same white blossoms in the spring.
This shows the plant 'Red valerian' which grows extensively here in hedgerows and on walls. I took this shot not exclusively because of the lovely Red valerian but because of the mottled clouds above it. The plant was on the top of a wall which made taking the shot so much easier.
Today is a public holiday here - 'Ascension Day'. Have a great week ahead!

Flowers often grow straight out of trunks and branches. Botanically speaking, such flowers are "cauliferous"! Why would redbud trees also be called "Judas trees"? According to legend, Judas Iscariot hanged himself from a closely related species native to Europe and the middle east Cercis siliquastrum.

A late afternoon outing to celebrate a burst of warmer weather turned out to be a few days away from a big snowstorm - one of the biggest of the winter.
But, like me, creatures that need the sun and warmth were out basking, oblivious to what was coming.
I don’t like to anthropomorphize wildlife, but it was nearly impossible to see this creature, having climbed up above the water, as anything other than Yertle: the highest-basking turtle on the lake.
