Silver Spring Maryland, Saturday August 20, 2022. Drag Queen Story Hour with Logan Stone was held here today inside at the Round House Theatre Education Center on Wayne Avenue. By my count there were about fifty attendees and an equal number of Parasol Patrol neighborhood defenders. I saw no protesters today. At a previous July 16 Drag Story Hour held outside on the Ellsworth St. Plaza, bigoted right wing protesters disrupted the event and screamed at the children and parents. In the wake of that ugliness our community has organized to protect our right to gather peacefully. Thanks to Loyalty Books for sponsoring.
