This red sponge was photographed at a depth of about 30 feet (9 meters) in natural light. It is amazing that it appears this red at that depth. Frequently at that depth the red wavelengths have been filtered from the light and red objects/creatures appear grey or brown.

The reflected blue color from the Sponge Daddy sponge kind of melts into the aluminum foil.

I was cleaning when I thought the way the light captured the strokes was beautiful. I dropped my sponge and snapped this picture
This was my photo for Macro Mondays, Scrubware, but I changed my mind.
Scrub Daddy is a made from a strange substance.
This sponge cells pump water through it's wall, allowing the sponge to capture microscopic plankton for food. The depth was 20 metres at Barracuda Point, Sipadan, Malaysia.
good to go
You may have seen previous post when I discussed my obsession with Twirls during the first lockdown. There was an obsession that came before twirls which was…Orbs! Last time one of my obsessions came up it was due to me not really having any photographs to post (that I was happy with anyway). Today I have photos that I really like – but they are of the tree on my walk and as I only posted one of these on Friday, I though this was possibly a bit soon to post again.
For this and 8 other images (including the original), check out my blog here - markseton.co.uk/2021/01/31/031-365v4-more-obsessions-from...
