My Blog

One of a collection of images of architecture, taken around the theme of 'looking up' in London.

I'll post a picture of the poncho on a minifig later today.

No more shots for a week or so. I'm needing a breather after being "in the zone" photography wise for the past two weeks, first at the Pingyao Photography Festival itself and then since returning, spending much of my free time either on Flickr or processing shots taken in Pingyao. There's a pile of dishes needing washed, my legs crave sport, my guitar needs re-strung, there's a pile of strange new words to learn and I'm sure I even have friends somewhere in this city that I should meet for a beer or two. I sign off this intensive session with a few abstracts.

How will we ever find our way back?

Macro image of shattered glass at Moss Arts Center, Virginia Tech

I have stopped behind two bars looking for empty bottles and came up empty.

Obviously I am not picking the right bars.

I saw one old bottle by the side of the road today and put it in my pack.

Cleaned it up, cut a hole in the bottom and blew it up.

Needs more delay. Next time, maybe.

Cheers.

Now the exhibition is fully under way I feel it's time to put up the other four of the 'Splintered thoughts' collection :D

Not too sure how much the youth of the present and future have experience with wooden toys. But when my mind flies back to fragmented memories of my earliest days I remember many happy moments playing with solid simple shapes of wood with painted designs of cars, dogs or just primary colours.

And when I'm thinking those thoughts I like to believe this is in someway how I appear to everyone around me.
