Ice on Lammas Meadow, Walthamstow Marshes. It looks like the water level dropped before it could freeze to an adequate depth to walk on - other areas were much stronger, although still tempting fate.

This weekend's adventure with Mark took us both to the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire in search of woodland wonderland.
Wintry conditions where abound with a developing mist and intermittent light show made for calm and unique photographic opportunity under the canopy of trees
Wandering around a winter's wood is very therapeutic! With the isolation from the everyday noise and troubles of daily life, it gives one a chance to take stock and breathe and the opportunity to re-engage with something natural.

On June 17th, Wichita experienced a powerful storm with a record-setting wind gust of 102 mph, which is the highest wind speed recorded in Wichita since records began in 1970.
Here you can see one of the after effects of one of the many huge trees falling and causing damage to a home.
Still experimenting with weekly theme of leading lines.

A portrait shot of Castell y Gwynt high on the Glyderau in Eryri National Park. Known as "Castle of the Winds" in English, it forms a fabulously splintered summit between Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach.
I took this on a marvellous day out with Clive Griffiths back in March when we were treated to some very clear weather. In fact Clive stayed down there camping for a good few days in fine weather. It was bitterly cold in a strong wind on the summit ridge here, but the air was clear and we got some wonderful photos to remind ourselves of a wonderful Snowdonian day.

DEAR FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES; THANK YOU FOR VIEWING, FAVING AND COMMENTING MY DIGITAL OBSERVATIONS.
NGC 5907 is an edge-on spiral galaxy located about 50 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Draco. The galaxy is also known as the Splinter Galaxy and Knife Edge Galaxy.
Although not visible in this image, the galaxy has faint tidal streams that wrap around it. Astronomers believe the streams are the dying orbits of a dwarf galaxy that was subsumed by the main galaxy some 8 billion years ago.
Additionally, NGC 5907 appears to have a warped disk that is thought to be the result of gravitational interactions with a nearby dwarf galaxy.
