Thank you for taking the time to visit and especially to those of you who are still committed to leaving a comment. I hope to have more time in the future to be in a position to reciprocate. Thanks guys. :-)

An interestingly shaped log near Spanish Banks in Vancouver. It reminds me of a DNA strand (I guess that would be Tree-N-A in this case...)

A more classic spiral staircase today, and this one is from the Australian High Commission in London.

Australia House sits on The Strand and is the longest continuously occupied diplomatic mission in the United Kingdom. It was opened in 1918 by King George V, and I visited here during last year's Open House event.

For me, there were two reasons to visit here, the first being its two stunning spiral staircases, and also the fact that this building was J.K. Rowling's inspiration for Gringott's Bank in the Harry Potter books, being a fan I couldn't pass up a chance to visit the "real" Gringotts!

A possible choice for the Monday Macro Group. The theme is Spirals. These are corn skewers standing on end with side lighting. The skewers are about 1.5" tall.

Ribbon cable (8 strand) photographed before a black felt background and cropped to under 3 inches. Moderate low key to enhance colors.
