There were actually three spiderwebs about a couple of feet apart extended from railing to railing across my deck steps. only two were illuminated.

Dew drops caught on a spider web on a foggy morning.

Another foggy morning and I stopped to get some of this creek . Crouching down beneath the guardrail I found a few spider webs . This one looked the best.

I saw this spider and spiderweb on the Veluwe, Deelerwoud. The mist made drops of water on the web.

In the dark of the woods Laura spotted him before I did.

Thank you Laura!

Here's another photo proving how awesome that June day was five years ago. We woke up really early to drive from west central Minnesota out to Luverne, ND, arriving just as the sun was coming over the horizon. As we neared the bridge, I told Mike I was hopeful there would be fog on the lake. Sure enough, as we crested the hill, a nice blanket of fog filled the valley in front of us. All we needed was a train or two. While we were hoping for an eastbound, we "made do" with two westbounds. First up was this Z train. Having overtaken a crude oil empty in the siding at Luverne, it's seen flying across the bridge at track speed. The fog is lifting as the sun rises, but has left condensation on everything, including some impressive spiderwebs in the prairie grass.

The fog and mist made these numerous small spider webs glow. They reminded me of a field of fireflies. Once the weather cleared I couldn't even see where they had been.
