for Macro Mondays: knolling

I have learnt a lot of info around photos on Flickr but knolling is probably the most obscure. I thought it could be invented but, no, there it was on Google, even photographic knolling. So here's my effort.

My new spice drawer. They aren't in any order right now & they're separated by Legos, but you get the idea.

Hey Valentine don't go Bacon my Heart! I Donut what I'd do without you?

So dumby me forgot to get a before picture of this project because I thought I had a picture already and I went full throttle taking it apart to see what it would require to put the feet on - Haa just like everything it required a whole lot more then just adding feet and staining them :D

The next couple pictures show you all about it

Here is the before and after - now that before was taken a long time ago and I didn't even have the lace to cover it. You can see it's very primitive - made from scraps of wood but I love the chippy old teal paint so much!!! I got this wayyyy back in the early 80's from a friends shop and I've always loved this piece. It worked great on my tile floor prior to living in our house but since it's been here (almost 30 years now) I've never been able to use the bottom drawer due to carpet not allowing it to move (remember primitive not made well) So unless you lifted the entire piece back the drawer remained empty.

I've had the bun feet now since beginning of 2020 so I thought it was time to quit dusting off the feet/hinges and put them on ;)

Well as always that wasn't as easy as I thought since there was no bottom just the drawer - duh that's why it wouldn't move LOL So a little ingenuity from the Hubs and I got a bottom and the feet on :D Yay!!! Now will see if I really do love them as I can now take them off and the drawer will still work :D Time will tell!!!

The middle picture shows the pretty side of the piece and that's what you see from the top of stairs - I really should have taken that darn before picture from this angle - oh well

Day 22 - the elves having fun making mountains out of marshmallows :D

Day 14

Sally enjoying some of the best Summer has to offer yummy watermelon she even decided to carve a little guy out - I mean she is from Halloweentown after all :D

Here you can see I took out the drawers and Ooops no bottom - well heck!!! So new board from the garage and feet on - I stained it and put it all back together and the pictures prior show it complete :D

I found an unlikely place for my new drawers. I wanted them in 2 possible places and neither worked out but this is perfect since my little dresser that was here was constantly having all the cute decor flung on the ground but a large dog's tail :O so I thought perfect this is way above his tail - well except this hanging ice cream that flies nightly LOL Oh well can't have everything ;D
