secret santa speedbuild for the underscored double based on his subs and silverpukes

happy holidays!

I've never built against the clock before so this was quite the experience. After 1 hour all I had done was the water and what was to the left of it. I really had to kick it into high gear to finish the rest. Next time I have a different tactic for going about this though. We'll see if it works out. Had fun nonetheless!!!

Hey everyone! Here's a generic Star Wars MOC that I made in an hour yesterday. It was a fun challenge, and I was cutting it very close at the end! More to come soon!

All glory to my Savior Jesus Christ!

droneuary 2024 speedbuild

This LEGO Star Wars MOC set in the timeline of Age of Resistance after Battle of Crait was made in August and took dozens hours to create it.

After destruction of Hosnian System and Capitol of the New Republic. First Order quickly started gaining control of the all most important system in the Galaxy.

I imagined that they also returned to Takodana and built here a military base for the First Order Army to secure nearby systems.

I came up with idea for this MOC with building the turret which was heavily inspired by the huge turrets seen on the Starkiller Base (of course here in a smaller scale). Then I knew I wanted to include in the MOC some kind of tube with water coming from the base.

My basic idea for the base was to have it with the square and raw shape but with corner at the angle. Also important for me was to get the right feeling of the First Order architecture.

Let me know what do you think about this creation ^^

I encourage to check these videos on my YouTube Channel for more in-depth look.

You can meet these creatures in the forrest of mid-latitude of Eastern Europe. Sometimes they help lost travelers and mushroom pickers to find the way home. But also you have an equal probability to find yourself in a swamp...

Be careful with "mushroom trip" ;)

It was a speedbuild for contest about fantastic beasts, and I haven't enough parts to realize the idea. I have questions for both of "Mushrooms" but I definitely love the terrain.

Usually it takes me ages building a model. Time for a change. this one was done in a day, which is really fast for me.

This model is a 1:1 replica of Revan's lightsaber from the Star Wars games Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) and The Old Republic (SWTOR). It was designed using the recently released Black Series Darth Revan saber hilt as main reference point, and has an approximate length of 37cm / 14.5in. The final result is strong and sturdy enough for it to be wielded and moved around with relative ease.

"So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. 17 Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). 18 There they crucified him, and with him two others—one on each side and Jesus in the middle."

Greetings all! With this weekend being the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, I had wanted to build something for the occasion. However, being busy with school and other LEGO projects, I was afraid I wouldn't have the time. But alas, InnovaLUG had a 30 min. speedbuild with "Easter" as its category, so I had my chance to build a related scene after all.

Additionally, this serves as my entry into the RLUG/RFLM Easter Raffle.

Let me know guys what do you think :)

Of course, since my Wall-E is sitting high and dry on my shelf, he needed a friend. While EVE would be perfect, M-O's small size, and relatively simple shape is what made me choose him.

Depending on how the week goes, I'm thinking a whole crew of characters from the film may be forthcoming!

This was also part of a speedbuild with the Team Jigsaw crew.

Speedbuild of an enemy soldier from Spec Ops: The Line.

Speedbuilding for Ukrainian comunity contest. After I've built windmill and Dwarf gates, there are not so much details left. So its very simple MOC

Also built in Baarn, from the same box of Power Miners parts plus random stuff. I started with a tablescrap of the gray corner roof pieces and roof pyramid, and wondering what else it could become other than a roof. With the chocolat drip and balloon pieces added, the answer was obvious!

The build with additional minibuilds my friends Jente, Tom and Thomas made on Saturday morning, while I was finishing the hangar section. Great start of the day, wouldn't have spent it any other way! 😊

Just a little 6 to 7 stud wide speedbuild experiment =)

Bloody Fata Morgana. I can smell the sea, hear the surge, see the water. But this is just the desert. Damn.

I had been waiting for TLG to have the instructions for this jeep in their download section as soon as I first saw this jeep. Er0l had a link to a speedbuild on youtube. Surely not my favourite way of instructions, but very handy if you don't have another.

Toy Project Day 1408

This beautiful, wildly angled rifle is Quicksilver Industries' latest addition to the firearms market.

This beast fires the hard-hitting 7.62x51mm cartridge, with the new Quicksilver Ind. Patented "Serval" Sabot ® round. This round is yet to be released, but testing is finished.

As per usual, everything is completely ambidextrous:

- The charging handle has a handle on both sides (non-reciprocating)

- The charging handle also functions as a bolt release catch; it will stay in the backwards position when empty

- The magazine release catch is on both sides

- The fire selector is on both sides

- The ejection port is on both sides, one being covered up by the cheek rest

Quicksilver Ind. produces top of the notch firearms made for easy and cheap mass production, while maintaining very high quality. Our firearms will always be fully ambidextrous, two toned, operator-friendly and accessory-friendly.

Credit to OptionReact for the ejection port.

Credit to Benjoo for the font and the flame.

Special thanks to CodyMendel for the idea of making the grip guard removable.

This rifle marks my 2-year anniversary on Flickr. So much happened in that time!

Two years ago, I joined the Flickr PMG Group. Now I'm a very active and dedicated Administrator.

I've got to know some amazing people, some even grew out to be friends.

Truth is, I love you guys. I love this group and I love this app.

I try to procrastinate it, but I can't really do so any longer. Real life is coming towards me like a fight train, and I know it.

There will be a time when real life hits me in the face and tells me to grow the fuck up and focus on my future military job instead of PMG. I'm afraid of that, and I can't even deny it. It's the reason so many PMG legends have left in the past, and so many will follow in the future.

That said, in the time I do have left, I will be active, I will design firearms, and I will enjoy the fuck out of it.

So thank you guys, thank you all.

Yours truly,

~ Shockwave

This past year has been crazy - full of new builds, new adventures, and new faces - but I wouldn’t have it any other way. To all the amazing people who have encouraged me throughout the year, pushing me to build faster and better I want to send out a huge thank you. The community wouldn’t be the same without your enthusiasm and encouragement for builders big and small.

Some highlights from the year:

Starcraft! This year I had the privilege of working with some amazing builders on completing a massive Starcraft diorama. I got invited on later in the process and throughout the entire thing felt like I was a junior hanging out with an all-star “who’s who” of the Lego community. Like most collabs, the of the project came together in the last few weeks before it’s unveiling in a scramble of frenetic activity and late nights of building, but we somehow pulled it off. So to all my fellow Starcraft veterans a huge thank you for pulling me on board and hats off to all of you for bringing Starcraft to life like never before.

Brickworld Chicago was an experience like no other. As my first convention, I had the chance to finally put faces to names, fanboy shamelessly over the creations of my favorite builders and participate in:

- Shenanigans with IMPLUG and company

- Late night reconstruction of Lego creations devastated by careless baggage handlers

- A mysterious round of Lego Clue

- Simon sponsored parts drafts

- fastest team build of a 5 foot lego SHIP complete with a V28 engine

And so much more. I had a fantastic time at Brickworld and hope to return again next year for more adventures with my fellow Lego builders. Thanks to everyone who made it so memorable especially my fellow LUG members who made the trip out

Ironbuilder came on me quite unexpectedly after a referral from a kindly friend, but was one of the most enjoyable months this year, if not equally painful towards my sleep and social life. I learned to build like never before and look forward to returning to defend my title next year. Cheers to Matt for an thrilling fight.

SHIPtember, which meant lots of big spaceships. Need I say more?

And a shout-out to my fellow STG teammates for a grand, though still unfinished bout of lego Starfighter madness.

InnovaLUG chats, hangouts and speedbuilds. You guys rock! May the cow puns be ever in your favor.

Some random stats for the year:

- 64 builds for the year (48 if you count starcraft as one)

- Blogged a number of times on a number of websites

- started my own website www.timschwalfenberg.com

- First time experimenting with lights in a Lego creation

- Last time swooshing the hurricane :(

While university has put a damper on my building time for the past four months or so I’ll be back in the swing of things in the new year and look forward to many new adventures in the future!

T’was a great 2015 and here’s to an even better 2016.
