This house boat on the backwaters of Kerala left our house boat in the dust. He was in a hurry, perhaps to pick up new guests! Most of the house boats have been renovated from old rice barges. They come in all shapes and sizes and some are quite elegant. All are very comfortable inside.

One of the greatest joys of travelling along the Lofoten islands besides its absolutely breathtaking nature and topography must be the many many MANY tunnels that link some of them or which lead the E10 through insuperable mountains. It became one of my pleasures to be at the ready with my cameras and shoot while we were inside. Soo much fun, especially since most of the time you are all by yourself, not a single other car at sight and where else does one have that pleasure?! :)

This is an Anna's Hummingbird at Boyce Thompson Arboretum. It was shot at 1/125 of a second. I love the way you can see the range of her wing motion through the blurred wings.

Faster only in appearance - a tram crossing the Rhine-Herne inland waterway in the north of Essen at the blue hour.

This little triangle has been helpful in getting curtains hung, 4 inch up, 3 inch over, just one of its many useful applications.

My project for the week was to try taking shots showing speed and focus....I was pleased with this one ... also the composition is pretty well balanced. I used ‘burst’ mode on my camera....
