You can record using the current location or by selecting a point from the map if you can't get an accurate GPS reading. To speak to the thing all you do when the species list comes up is speak into the microphone of the iPhone (a couple of inches away works well) using the English name of a species in the list and it should add it to the 'My Sightings' list. (Note that it says something about the title bar turning green in the help system - it doesn't, so don't wait for that, just speak the name clearly after the list comes up). There are lots of other bits and pieces which you can find in either the help system or preferences page of the app itself. You'll need to switch the species recognition bit on in the preferences section before it works.
and before anyone points out that there are no tree sparrows in the list, I do like the beasts and had to sneak them in somewhere...

Gameplay 3 allows you to create custom touch, voice, and motion controls for your favorite PC games.
In early April, Ideum released GestureWorks Gameplay 3, available on Steam. Previous versions of Gameplay allowed gamers to use and build their own controllers for touch, as an overlay on existing PC games. Gamers have already created nearly 600 “virtual controllers” for hundreds of PC games that they have shared with the larger community. Gameplay 3 includes everything users loved about Gameplay 2, including configurable touch interfaces and Android support.
Now, with Gameplay 3, gamers will be able to interact with games in dramatically new, ultra-customized ways. While gamers will still experience fully customized on-screen controls, gestures, and remote layouts, key new features include voice recognition, and all-new hand- and head-motion gestures with the Leap Motion sensor, RealSense 3D camera, and wearable sensor gesture support.
One of the new features of Gameplay 3 is the ability to create motion controls for your favorite PC games.
