When I first came here, I had a lovely conversation with the barista who worked that day. A month later I came back for a birthday coffee and took this photo. :)
English - Spanish:
English:
An astronomically impossible panorama, but with a little ingenuity and four months of planning, at least in my case, it's possible.
Shot in Val-d'Oronaye, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, on the French-Italian border, this panorama is the result of just one hour of sleep during the night of March 30-31, over 25 GB of photographs to, first, make sure I had all the information possible and more, and second, a sky that finally decided to be kind to me.
The idea of the photo is simple but very complicated to achieve, as I wanted to unify, in that March window, the galactic arc of winter and summer in a single photo. The first panorama was taken between 9 and 10 PM, and the second before dawn, around 5 AM.
I wanted both arches to be as high as possible, around 50°, due to the number of mountains and the inaccessibility of reaching one of the peaks due to the amount of snow.
In the middle, I find myself, possibly pouring my fourth cup of coffee that night, but ultimately living up to the name I chose a few years ago to share my love and passion for the universe: Astrophotography and Coffee.
The final panorama is "only" almost 80mpx, but it was the result of combining 4 different panoramas of over 150mpx each.
