This past week I got my first blog sponsor, Breakout, a store for both men and women’s fashion. And naturally with such an awesome sponsor, I had to do an equally epic photo. This outfit, “The Specialist”, had me thinking along the lines of Sylvester Stallone or some other equally badass hero. So I went in search of danger, a.k.a. a sim for a sweet action shot.
If you haven’t been to Binemist yet, I definitely recommend it. It’s a photographers wet dream (you can rezz there if you’re in the group)…and even more so I recommend a visit to Breakout. If you’re not a badass like Stallone, they’ll at least help you look like you might be.

At the end of last year Network Rail announced that the 1987 built DMU was going to be replaced by further class 153 units so with this in mind I decided to head out and get a shot of this well travelled unit.

White tailed kites specialize in hunting voles, small gophers, and other small rodents. Their hunting style of hovering and small talons makes them well equipped for this type of hunting. Most raptors are opportunists and will eat anything that moves. Other specialists that come to mind are peregrines (almost exclusively birds) and ospreys (almost exclusively fish). I say almost because there are always exceptions. I once photographed a peregrine with a ground squirrel and an osprey with an eared grebe. The background is wild mustard and a hill in the distance.

Der Plöner Schlossberg erhebt sich majestätisch mitten in der holsteinischen Seenplatte direkt am Großen Plöner See. Die 1139 zerstörte erste Slawenburg wurde von dem Schauenburger Graf Adolf II. 1156 als deutsche Burg wieder aufgebaut. Mit dem Aussterben des Schauenburger Grafengeschlechts gelangte der Besitz 1460 an das dänische Königshaus. Wiederholte Landesteilungen führten schließlich zur Bildung des kleinen Fürstentums Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön, das bis 1761 bestand und dann in den dänischen Gesamtstaat einverleibt wurde. Unter Herzog Joachim Ernst wurde Plön zur Residenzstadt. Er ließ 1633–1636 nach seiner Eheschließung mit der Gottorfer Prinzessin Dorothea Augusta an der Stelle der mittelalterlichen Burg ein Renaissance-Schloss errichten. Dieses ist heute von nüchterner Gesamterscheinung, hat jedoch eine eindrucksvolle Fernwirkung. Es handelt sich um den letzen großen Schlossbau im Lande. . Das heutige Erscheinungsbild als Putzbau mit Schieferdach geht auf die 1840er Jahre zurück, in denen der dänische König Christian VIII., das Schloss zu seiner Sommerresidenz ausbauen ließ. Als nach dem dem Deutsch-Dänicschen Krieg 1864 die dänische Herrschaft über Schleswig Holstein endete, kam die Provinz unter gmeinesame Verwaltung durch Östtereich und Preußen. 1866 jedoch standen sich beide Mächte im Deutschen Krieg als Feinde gegenüber. Österreich musste sich zurückziehen, und 1867 wurde Schleswig-Holstein eine preußische Provinz. Nach Umbau diente dann das Schloss von 1868 bis 1920 als preußische Kadettenanstalt, auch die Söhne von Kaiser Wilhelm II wurden hier ausgebildet. Von 1933 bis 11945 diente es as Napola, Nationalpolitische Erhiehungsanstalt (auch Lehranstalt), wo der Führungsnachwuchs des Nazistaats ausgebildet werden solllte. 1946-2001 war das Schloss eine staatliche Internatsschule, dann verkaufte das Land das Gebäude an den Besitzer der Optikerkette Fielmann. Plön Palace Hill rises majestically in the centre of the Holstein Lake District directly on the shores of the Great Plön Lake. The first Slavic castle, destroyed in 1139, was rebuilt as a German castle by Count Adolf II of Schauenburg in 1156. When the Schauenburg dynasty of counts died out, the property passed to the Danish royal family in 1460. Repeated divisions of the land eventually led to the formation of the small principality of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön, which existed until 1761 and was then incorporated into the Danish state. Under Duke Joachim Ernst, Plön became the official residence. After his marriage to Princess Dorothea Augusta of Gottorf, he had a Renaissance palace built on the site of the medieval castle in 1633-1636. Today it has a sober overall appearance, but has an impressive long-distance effect. It is the last large palace building in the country. Its current appearance as a plaster building with a slate roof dates back to the 1840s, when the Danish King Christian VIII had the castle extended to become his summer residence. When Danish rule over Schleswig Holstein ended after the German-Danish War in 1864, the province came under the joint administration of Austria and Prussia. In 1866, however, the two powers faced each other as enemies in the German War. Austria had to withdraw, and in 1867 Schleswig-Holstein became a Prussian province. After being remodelled, the castle then served as a Prussian cadet school from 1868 to 1920, and the sons of Kaiser Wilhelm II were also trained here. From 1933 to 1945, it served as a Napola, a national political education centre (or training school), where the next generation of leaders of the Nazi state were to be trained. From 1946 to 2001, the castle was a state boarding school, then the state sold the building to the owner of the Fielmann optician chain. He set up the non-profit Fielmann Academy here, a training centre for opticians that trains 7,000 specialists every year, not only for the company's own junior staff.

Rum soaked currants in a rich artisan cake with a strong Espresso.
A beautifully, moist rich cake with currants tasting of rum.
Not so heavy as a traditional UK Christmas fruit cake but very tasty indeed.
There was a choice of brandy cream, clotted cream or whipped cream with it.
Best to start the diet after Christmas.

The tanneries are just in the outskirts of Dhaka and without any toxic waste management they are polluting the lands and the river next to it.
The law enforcement agencies are heavily bribed so they really don't take any action against them.
