Here is my version of the Spec Ops figure, which was sculpted by Richard over at G-Bricks. I wanted this figure to be very bulky, so I loaded up the vest more than I normally would, but I like the result. The face mask was done with a tiger stripe effect along the contours of the mask itself. This is an excellent set and fun to paint - I’m looking forward to seeing what other people do with it.

This spring and fall mushroom is choice edible.

Three years ago I spotted some in a city park just out the window of my home.

The first flush was about five hundred…….(I have a lot of friends that love wild mushrooms) I took a spore print and grew it out in my lab…..Thank Goddess…they dug up the park to spruce it up a bit, haven’t seen one back yet. Expanding the mycelium to larger substrates I eventually put it out in fifty locations at the 145 acre forest, Pouch Camp on Staten Island NYC owned by The Boy Scouts of America where I work.

This photo is the result of my work….my children…but… I ate them…Does that make me a cannibal?

This one is my last build for the year. I wanted to use a bright helmet color that contrasted with the other darker, military colors. Not the most practical thing if you are out in the field, but it makes for an interesting design. The torso is Brick Affliction and the weapon is Tiny Tactical.

This minifigure is based on the Special Operation branch of the Irish Army. He is armed with a Tiny Tactical MK18. Helmet is Minifigcat and the rest of the equipment is Tiny Tactical. Head is designed by Lando and printed by brickmania . Stand is made of a cut-up lego stand and air-dry clay. Grass and bushes from Woodland Scenic. Leaves, rock and twig were from my backyard.. First time painting Irish DPM, so had some fun with it.

Veterans Day 2017. To the women and men in uniform, past and present, we salute you.

Since we are definitely in the cold grip of winter here where I live, it seems like good timing for this one. It features a new vest from Brick Affliction (which I believe should be available later this month). It doesn't really have what would be considered realistic winter military colors, but I wanted to add a few accents to the mix to make it more interesting.

The CASA/IPTN CN-235 is a medium-range twin-engined transport aircraft that was jointly developed by Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA of Spain and Indonesian manufacturer IPTN, as a regional airliner and military transport. Its primary military roles include maritime patrol, surveillance, and air transport.

This particular aircraft belongs to the USAF and is used for the "Special Forces". It is on finals to land for a quick gas and go at Prestwick airport in Ayrshire, Scotland.

Now with upgraded armor and suspension!

Simulated Beach Landing - Fuzileiros/ Marines

I've included my Nam figures as well just as they fit better in this collection than going backwards and including them with my ww2 figures. I've also put a few of my Police SWAT figures in the photo although they are not an official military force. Again just as they fit with modern figures.

I haven't included my UN figures in the Photo...I have 20 of them. I'm still deciding what weapons they will have and I got lazy after setting all these up as it took a fair while to get them out of storage and decide who had what weapon with what I had on hand to give them.

I'm not seeing as many great modern builds as there was just a few years back..maybe the best time came and went although I hope not.

SWAT Captain DeSanta (R) pictured alongside an unidentified member of the 5th Special Forces Group (L). Long since rumored to be advising Kansas City PD in their ongoing insurgency problem this is the first solid evidence that US Military elements are directly involved. A shadowy meeting on a rooftop between the two was interrupted by a member of our staff last night.

Rumors circulating of military assistance against the III% Militia uprising have been around for 6 months now, but the fact that it took so long to be confirmed brings several new questions to the front. Why won't the Federal Government acknowledge that this is essentially a new civil war, and why would they allow it to drag on? Roadside bombs, jit and run ambushes, an increasingly militarized police force to fight them. Would it not be easier to deploy conventional forces and squash the insurrection?

"When I was little, we found a man. He looked like ... like, butchered. The old woman in the village crossed themselves ... and whispered crazy things, strange things: 'El Diablo cazador de hombres'. Only in the hottest years this happens - and this year, it grows hot. We begin finding our men. We found them sometimes without their skins ... and sometimes much, much worse. 'El cazador trofeo de los hombres' ... means the demon who makes trophies of men."

A retired Royal Air Force helicopter, which once carried Special Forces troops during a guerrilla war in the barren hills and deserts of southern Oman during the 1970s, is on display in the RAF Museum at Cosford.

In 1974, Westland Wessex HC.2 XR525 was one of four helicopters loaned to the Sultan of Oman’s Air Force to aid his fight against radical dissident tribesmen in the western Omani province of Dhofar. This aircraft carried freight, Special Air Services patrols, medical evacuations, artillery movements and forward air controllers.

Today, this helicopter is representative of the 72 Wessex ordered by the RAF in 1961 and accumulated 15,600 flying hours from 1964 to 2002.

A PBR or Patrol Boat Riverine patrols the waterways of Vietnam looking at a nearby Sampan to pull over and search for possible smuggled weaponry. Massive shout out to all the other Lego PBR's as they inspired me to build one. It's 10 wide, fits a full fig in dual MG turret and turns too, canvas roof comes off in one piece to access inside, lots of other cool little features I can even remember lol. I got more Nam era Armour on the way soon enough. I really would like to see more people build some too ; )

Massive thanks to Todd aka "Florida Shoooter" for the edit, cheers bud.

Iden Versio and her squadron has become some of my favorite new Star Wars characters. Until we get an official minifigure(s) for the Inferno Squadron, I simply had to create my own with ALL LEGO materials.

Credit to Jan T. for some initial inspiration. :)

I am currently working on a Vardos build for her. Coming soon!

Enjoy. :)

Through the creations that I build, I hope to inspire other young (or perhaps older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity. We all need a positive way to express ourselves, so let's allow LEGO to be an extension of us. Your creativity belongs to you, and nobody can take that away. Build what you want to build, and how you want to build it.

"Now, let's see... what can I tell you about Bloc V?"

"Anything at all that comes to mind?"

"A lot of black boxes and redacted data. Ha!"

"Please, Mr Weston. We just need some information on these guys. You must understand how many boys are behind bars or in morgues because of them."

"Alright, kid, I'll give you all the files I have. But, in return, you have to do a favour for me."

"Anything, Mr Weston."

"Well, you have yourself a deal. Here's the box. That's all we have."

"One cardboard box? My cat could barely fit in this."

"Considering how off-record Bloc V actually is, you should count yourself lucky we have that much."

"It says here that 'Bloc V is a highly-secretive Police Unit working closely with Military Intelligence and Special Forces... Sources indicate that Bloc V employs a large number of foreign and multinational operatives to enable it to carry out operations both domestically and internationally.' I can't read the rest, it's redacted."

"What did you expect? Now, that favour you owe me..."

Yeah, backstories have returned. Probably going to be another miniature storyline like my Space one. Obligatory action shot in front of the Office front is obligatory.

This is Alpha-Bravo 1-1, a four-man enemy patrol has just passed us. We have held fire and are moving towards the facility entrance now.

This four-wheel-drive Longline Light Strike Vehicle was once owned by adventurer and broadcaster Bear Grylls, who served in the Territorial Army with 21 SAS during the 1990s. This vehicle is an extremely rare example of the type of machine that has been favoured by Special Forces since the Second World War. Small and fast, it was designed to operate behind enemy lines in a reconnaissance role.

Resembling a military-spec dune buggy, the Longline LSV – later to become the Ricardo LSV following a company takeover –featured an exposed tubular chassis with sling points that enabled it to be airlifted by helicopter.

This vehicle was one of just five four-wheel-drive Mk.2s that were built for the SAS in 1990 during the lead-up to the first Gulf War. Its original military registration was 03 KK 78 – it is now registered H341 OEE.

Now fitted with a deactivated 50-calibre Browning heavy machine gun, it was seen for sale at the Classic Motor Hub in May 2023.
