Since I moved the terracotta cat , I've noticed both Kaiser and Pixie trying to make friends with the statuettes !

"and then right after that, all hell broke loose".

Well I walked into the room and heard the tail end of the conversation. It was all quiet after that.

~ don't speak ~

by No Doubt

You and me

We used to be together

Every day together always

I really feel

That I'm losing my best friend

I can't believe

This could be the end

It looks as though you're letting go

And if it's real,

Well I don't want to know

[Chorus]

Don't speak

I know just what you're saying

So please stop explaining

Don't tell me 'cause it hurts

Don't speak

I know what you're thinking

I don't need your reasons

Don't tell me 'cause it hurts

Our memories

They can be inviting

But some are altogether

Mighty frightening

As we die, both you and I

With my head in my hands

I sit and cry

[Chorus]

It's all ending

I gotta stop pretending who we are,

You and me

I can see us dying, are we?

And one of the few times this guy had nothing to say.

Everything is a riddle to the Cheshire cat.

I’ve been with Teamsters, and I’ve been with these guys. I’m more partial to the latter mainly because I was more comfortable with them from 2015-2018. Now, if I were a trucker and had an A-Class CDL, I could see myself being more supportive of The Teamsters. But I’m no longer with a union, but where I work at now, The Teamsters is lobbying to represent us, but I’ve had some negative experiences dealing with them in the past. I’m in no hurry for that, not getting political (that’s basically what it is-politics), but I’m just expressing my mistrust of unions. Most of them no longer have the backbone that they once had. The ATU and Teamsters are but a part of the few that do. Having said this, the ATU looked out for us during the time that I drove public transit, on one occasion, they even saved the jobs of many drivers-myself included-and for that I am grateful.

Like they say about the Marines, or playing for the Raiders (they’re in Vegas now), I say likewise about the Amalgamated Transit Union:

Once ATU, always ATU!

So, Boat-tailed Grackles have dark eyes, right? Well, not exactly. Understanding "grackle speak" means understanding a little about the 3 species of grackles. There are three kinds of grackles: Common, Great-tailed, and Boat-tailed. The Common Grackle is, well, the most common. It lives east of the Rockies, is smaller than the other two kinds, and loves open agricultural areas, lawns, and avoids marshy areas. It is one of the birds that forms massive noisy flocks during the winter.

The Great-tailed Grackle has yellow eyes and lives in the southwest US and Mexico. Its range has expanded into some of the southeastern US also, where it overlaps with Boat-tailed Grackles.

Boat-tailed grackles live almost exclusively within about 20 to 30 miles of salt water, along the southeastern US and east coast. They have variable eye color. In the north they are yellow, but in the south, where they may overlap with the yellow eyed Great-tailed, their eyes are dark.

So, are you confused? Good! At least I'm not alone. Leave it to say that this is a male Boat-tailed Grackle taking to the air. Of course, the females of these three species are much more easily identified. Leave it to the women to get things right, again! #iLoveNature #iLoveWildlife #iLoveBirds #WildlifePhotography in #NewJersey #Nature in #NorthAmerica #America #USA #DrDADBooks #BoatTailedGrackles #Canon #FindYourPark #FYPyes #WildlifeConservation

Speaking out: We won't go back rally in Segastian, Florida on 7-16-22.

While we were going through some photographs, I came upon some of the ones when Hershey was just 4 months old. Seems so long ago.

speaking confidentially: Cowboy Junkies

speaking confidentially ...

speaking metaphorically ...

speaking hypothetically ...

speaking cryptically

burning bright for all to see

it just might mean the most to me

I first came across the cowboy junkies on my first trip to Canada in the early '90s ... fell in love with their emotive sounds with a slight tinge of country ... I guess I have a soft spot for Canadians :))
