It's gettin' sparky out there! From last night out at Pawnee National Grassland. We finally got a storm out there that was safe enough to go photo!

Image notes: the "M" strike on right was from one exposure/bolt, and the others on the left were from subsequent 30 second shots that managed to catch a bolt. All taken from in the safety of my car. Bit like fishin' really.

Sparky belongs to Tony - see previous image www.flickr.com/groups/100strangers

Due to heavier trains being moved on the Hagersville, CN has assigned a C44-9W to work with the GP40's on the night train.

Just me, messing around...

I don't really know that his name is Sparky, but I like alliteration. :)

I have seen this pair twice on the trail. Sparky is not young, but man does he move it. He might even be in Richard's elite class for all I know. Nah. Couldn't be that good.

A little later, around the bend, Sparky let Spaniel cool off in the water. I passed them by, and then then passed me by again, for I must needs walk slowly. V e r y s l o w l y.

This horse was a very old, long standing member of our family. He was sheltering from the rain. I like the colour of his coat against the bricks.
