Actually, I don't know what kind of grass this is, but would love to find out if you are able to help me identify it. The grass is very short and was blooming alongside the road in Stanton County Nebraska.
After processing with a B&W preset in Lightroom, it reminded me of sparklers...appropriate for this time of year :-)

I am starting to wonder at what age it becomes weird to be sitting cross-legged on the driveway playing with sparklers. Particularly when it is no longer bonfire night.
