The Bull Pup is a common fighter/escort implemented by the "Space Wolves" pirate gang. It's small, cheap, has guns, and explodes rather nicely. The double-windscreen cockpit provides very good visibility, as long as the enemy is not directly in fornt of, above, or below the Bull Pup.

Gallery. Because you need to see that one pic I didn't put on Flickr.

My man Aaron recently reminded me of the Space Wolves.

First five from the second squad of Grey Hunters

The Space Marine Dreadnought is a large, walking tank which carries powerful guns and lethal close combat weaponry, armoured to withstand all but the most powerful of enemy firepower. Pilots interred within Dreadnoughts are Marines who have suffered mortal wounds in battle, maimed and crippled beyond recovery - instead of being mercifully killed, the greatest heroes are instead given what is considered the honour of continuing to serve the Emperor past their normal life. Dreadnoughts can be armed with a wide range of weaponry. These include power claws, twin-linked autocannons, lascannons, heavy bolters or individual multi-meltas, plasma cannons or assault cannons. Built into the close combat weapons is often either a storm bolter or heavy flamer and one entire arm may be replaced with a missile launcher.

I started building on Friday night and completed this model last night (No, I did actually sleep 8hours in between ;)

I used Jerac's photos of his Dreadnought as a reference. Let me say that Jerac is a real Lego genius, the degree of 'engineering' in the model is impressive. I managed to clone his build from waist down, but then modified it to improve stability and strength. The torso I had to build with my own techniques, but using Jerac's exterior shell as a guide. All in all, I am very pleased with the result. Without Jerac's model, I doubt I could have designed a model of such accuracy.

This year's iteration of trying to build a proper Space Marine model.

The Space Marine Stormtalon gunship is an aerial interceptor and ground attack aircraft. This VTOL craft can hover in place while unleashing its potent barrage, as well as engaging in more conventional dogfights like a supersonic interceptor. The Stormtalon is swift enough to engage nearly all but the fastest of enemy aircraft whilst simultaneously well armed enough to reduce the chosen foe to a mangle of twisted wreckage and ruined flesh. The Stormtalon’s standard armament is a nose turret mounted twin linked Assault Cannons. The side hull mounts can either be armed with twin-linked Heavy Bolters, Lascannons, Skyhammer Missile Launchers or Typhoon Missile Launchers.

Comment:

This Lego model is depicts a Skyhammer Missile variant. The Stormtalon uses jet engines for propulsion and VTOL, in a similar way to the Harrier Jump Jet.

Customized Imperial Knight Titan: I have designed, in 3D a multitude of new components to use on the standard GW kit that transforms the Titan into a "Iron Werewolf".

This unit still counts as a standard Knight Titan, but I wanted to make its theme match the rest of my wolf army. The custom components are available for purchase through my shapeways site: www.shapeways.com/shops/GadgetsPlus

The customized parts include: (Note that details of some designs have CHANGED!)

-Iron Wolf - Head

-Iron Wolf - Ice Cannon

-Iron Wolf - Feet

-Iron Wolf - Knee pad

-Iron Wolf - Shoulder Pads

Thanks to Dobek for sharing the picture of this great wolf

Thanks also to diAnNa for the lovely texture.

Hand made bubble texture, mine. This is the first time that I make bubbles with my PSE7! So, I'm pretty pleased how this came out.

I would like to present one of my latest projects which has been on and off for some time, Thorgir the Forgeworld Venerable Dreadnought painted for my Space Wolves army. Firstly I would like to add that this dreadnought would not have turned out the way it was without the influences of the Dreadnought done by Wiltrichs, the work by Brandon Griffith which I got the dynamic arm ideas from and also the work of Kim Syberg from White Dwarf 185 which I took the idea from the banner that he did for his Wolf Guard Ranulf.

I named him Thorgir after doing some research on Norse and Viking names and I imagined him to be a close friend of Russ and was one of his right hand men. The weapon arms are all magnetized using rare earth magnets so are easily swappable in the event I ever decide to actually play.

The colours were from the Space Wolf tutorial in the new eavy metal masterclass book,, but they also feature in one of the old White Dwarfs.

Finished up this little group of Space Wolf heroes this weekend. Pretty happy with how they turned out.
