I took this shot on the little beach to the right of the amusement park. It was pretty cool that while I was standing next to my tripod composing and letting the exposure happen, that the waves from Lake Erie were actually hitting my feet. Seen here is the Wicked Twister roller coaster, the rather large Ferris Wheel, the 330 ft tall Space Spiral that provides neat views of the park, and the Disaster Transport indoor bobsled roller coaster(which is the building in the back). Thanks for lookin', and have a great day!

In other news, I saw Up last night. It was incredible. I urge everyone to see it. That's all.

Cedar Point's Space Spiral (photo taken in 1992) and Disaster Transport (in background) were torn down in September to make room for a new roller coaster.

For Halloweekends, Cedar Point puts up a graveyard of lost rides. There were three new ones this year... a sad sight, for me.

It was a glorious day to ride the Space Spiral for my first and only time after thirty-odd years of looking at it from below.

This pit was the only sign remaining of the Space Spiral.

Peeking behind a fence, we could see the former site of the Space Spiral.
