This spaceship is in a wooded area on 501 between Brookneal and Lynchburg. When I first noticed it about 2 years ago it had an inflatable green alien hanging from a nearby tree.

Anyone looking for a spaceship? Seen in Galway. An April Fools joke?

"Spaceship" 92212 pulls out of Sun Lane cutting with the first Santa departure from Alresford today. U Class 31806 was rostered, but as the frost was strong, the 9F stepped in to pull the 6 coach train. The U slipped a bit yesterday with the Christmas Dining train which is only 5 coaches, so this was probably a wise decision!

I'm one of those who wishes we could get back closer to the earlier architectural view of Spaceship Earth before the triangle canopies where installed over the central plaza in Future World. I've always been a fan of the simple lines of the old structure behind Spaceship Earth that originally housed Earth Station and the information and reservation kiosks. (Maybe the recent rumors that they 'tarps' will be coming down soon will prove true.)

Today we take video conferencing on a computer screen for granted but I'll never forget how surprised I was the first time a cast member popped up on the WorldKey Information Kiosk screen and said Hi; we thought we had done something wrong. We soon realized that she could make the dinner reservation we wanted right there while we were talking.

I heard it was a cereal premium for the 50s and is related to Buck Rogers, but I am not sure.

It's a spaceship for my friend Ira
