So, since TLG doesnt give a crap about 4 wide windscreens anymore or ever creating 5 wide windscreen elements and vehicles apparently, the only fix was to "build" my own windscreen in allmost all my 1/43 scale models.

Took me years, and a fairly new part, to finally get a nice, spacesaving, connection between transparent window panels and the framework going (i didnt really like the 1x1 lever base option thats been around for quite some time).

Also, when i came across the old grab jaw elements, i always thought of how i could use that grab jaw as a mudguard. Thanks to my recent Porsche Mocs, i did the transition from squarisch bodyframes to round technic elements - so this worked out quite well. Its the only part i know know, that has the correct shaping and "thin-ness" to create really low mudguards for front hood designs.

Colourwise its only possible in all black - not the worst option tbh!

You mean you don't make tiny magnets with all of your photos and put them on a tiny magnet board? Bonus benefit in addition to the spacesaving one: all the pleasure of a thumbnail without the need for a computer monitor.

Submitted for the neverending September scavenger hunt, "Magnetic" category.

My Ikea Desk hack. Total cost was about 60 bucks (AUD). Parts used were the CAPITA stainless steel brackets and the EKBY AMUND shelf all on a MICKE Desk. There are also DIODER led strips behind the monitors and under the shelf.

Love to hear your comments.

Pretty heavy and is pretty adjustable so good piece of kit.

The origins of Shanks went back into the Victorian era when John Shanks set up his plumbers shop in the Scottish town of Barrhead in 1853. Prospering he started his own foundry for brassware in 1866 and finally in 1900 went into earthenware production so as to become effectively a 'vertical' opertion making all aspects of sanitary ware. It was, of course, at a time when the sales of such goods was on the up with the increasing Victorian concern as to public health. Shanks stayed independent until 1969 when they merged with Armitage to become Armitage Shanks. In 1980 they became part of a a large group and sadly, in 1992, the Barrhead works went.

This circular washbasin is rather fine and I recall similar equipment in Coal Board collieries and workshops I used to visit in the 1980s. Also, the old basement Gents at St Pancras, back in the pre-Eurostar had some I think, along with circular urinals! The three step resession is quite clever and the type face is distinctive.

The Mini Cooper S with 1275 cc won the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964, 1965 and 1967.Minis were initially placed first, second and third in the 1966 rally as well, but were disqualified after a controversial decision by the French judges. The disqualification related to the use of a variable resistance headlamp dimming circuit in place of a dual-filament lamp.
