I have photographed the moon. I however noticed that there are a lot of beautiful photos on this topic. So I've set it to process this.

I don't know what this is called in windsurfing lingo, but I would call it "spaceman"! :) This is Kevin Pritchard, multiple world champion, living in Hawaii.
He also produced an excellent short video about this year's Pistol River Wave Bash:
I love colors and thus I have a really hard time creating monochrome photos. I can easily appreciate a good black and white photo from someone else but when it comes to my own photography, most of the time I prefer the original in color.
The many black and white pictures I saw on social networks of the new collectible spaceman inspired me to make one myself. I thought it would be a good opportunity to force myself work in black and white. Unfortunately I still prefer the color version over the monochrome one. Maybe the only thing that could force me to work in monochrome is a film camera?
The black and white version of this photo can be seen on my personal website: reiterlied.net/2016/05/11/monochrome-vs-colors

Just got back from another epic One Of A Kind Photography Adventure in the Snowy Mountains of Australia with a top crew of landscape photographers. Hanging around Thredbo Village and camping up in the mountains is what I call being alive, to be on top of Australia with good friends a custom made bar made out of snow and some sweet light, just doesn't get any better.
Check out my other adventures and website.

Ok, I know it's goofy.
One more episode in the never-ending quest to square the circle and face the ravages of time.
Macro Monday is doing modes of transportation, so I'll counter with a space-traveling Little Green Man.

For looking close... on Friday. My Father worked for Nasa in the early years and was fortunate enough to be able to travel while working on satellites with other countries. When he returned, he would sometimes bring me a charm from the country he had visited. There is a rickshaw from Japan, an Eifel tower, and some wooden shoes painted blue, among other charms. I'm not sure where the spaceman came from.
I am lucky to have such a loving and thoughtful father.
Looks to me like I have captured a space alien! Yesterday was heavy frost, today is freezing rain. Love Virginia in the winter! :)
A shot from this mornings trip to Dawlish Warren Beach to catch the Sunrise. After the sun had risen I focused on getting some shots from the dunes and a fellow tog walked into shot all in black looking like a black suited astronaut.
That’s yet another ruthless tyrant dispatched, now on to the next one. It’s a hard life for this Collectible Minifigures Series 17 Spaceman keeping the Universe safe for you and me. The third of my Series 17 8x8's vignette for Brickfanatics Check the site daily for more.

Outside the City of Perth Council house.
Sterling Gardens, St Georges Terrace, Perth, Western Australia.
A gleaming blue, 7-metre-tall astronaut has been unveiled in Perth's CBD, taking pride of place outside Council House.
Designed by US artist Brendan Murphy, the sculpture called Boonji Spaceman was a donation by the artist but City of Perth took on costs of transportation and installation, believed to be between $150,000–$250,000.
The acquisition was championed by former Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas who stepped down from the council in March after being elected to state parliament.
Mr Zempilas has long championed branding Perth as the City of Light — as it was dubbed by astronaut John Glenn in 1962 when the people of Perth turned on their lights to acknowledge his mission to become the first American to orbit the earth.
It was that story and meeting Mr Zempilas that persuaded Murphy to donate one of his spacemen to Perth after the pair were introduced by gallery owner Paul Gullotti.
Up to round 6 in the RogueOlympics now and our build prompt was “Impulse”. I decided to base my entry on the ever impulsive Calvin as one of his alter-egos Spaceman Spiff from the comics Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. The scene uses exactly 101 parts and Spiff does fit in his spaceship.

One from my ever-growing vault of images, taken back in Winter 2011 @ Girraween National Park - happy to say that as of my last visit here, this cool old tree is still fighting to survive on top of the Pyramid and hopefully it will continue to do so for many years to come.
This is the result of one of my first night shoots where I was specifically aiming at capturing high-iso star images in this style, rather than concentrating only on star trails as I had done in the past (before packing it in though, I did also shoot a trail image this night).
Despite the cloudless sky, the Milky Way lacked the clarity that I had hoped for and had indeed witnessed in my test images from prior visits to this location - I guess it's to do with atmospheric conditions or something.
Anyway, I wasn't completely happy with this image back then, nor am I now really, but I'm posting it up so John stops hassling me :)

Calvin and Hobbes will always have a really special place in my heart, as a non-native English speaking immigrant, I wasn't into books. And it was a copy of collected Calvin and Hobbes that was the first book I actually wanted to read ...
Happy Birthday, it's keep exploring everyone!.
