The Soviets and Germans came together to celebrate Christmas. They threw away the massacring mentality and said hello to Merry spirits. That is until the soviets threw the Germans into the Gulag. Bahaha!

During the construction of Novopolotsk, architects and artists worked closely with each other. As a result of this cooperation, specialists from Vitebsk art workshops have created mosaics on a variety of topics on new houses. Despite the fact that some of the mosaics have already been destroyed, the total volume of mosaic panels in Novopolotsk remains one of the largest in the republic.
При строительстве г. Новополоцка архитекторы и художники плотно сотрудничали друг с другом. В результате этого сотрудничества на новых домах специалистами Витебских художественных мастерских появились мозаики на самые разные темы. Несмотря на то, что часть мозаик уже уничтожена, общий объём мозаичных панно в Новополоцке остаётся одним из крупнейших в республике.

Like Berlin, Vienna was occupied by the four major allied powers. The USSR built a monument to themselves in the Soviet Zone.
The Viennese have a sarcastic name for it.

From the green-tinged glass of the viewing floor in the Fernsehturm, you can see the Berlin sprawl until it disappears into the fog.
The snow and architectural influence of the Russians made it feel like I was in some unloved area of Moscow.

So when I inspected this camera before buying it I noticed that the viewfinder image was quite blurry !
When I said this to the seller he said to me that this Ring around the Ocular can be turned to correct for Eyesight !!
Well, something learned again and what a nice feature !
