Swaffham has both a town memorial and a church memorial, plus the war dead have been summarised on the Roll of Honour web-site.
However, there seems to be a great deal of discrepancy between all these sources of information.

History :
In “The Making of Egypt” (1939). Petrie states that the Land of Punt was “sacred to the Egyptians as the source of their race.”
« Again the representations of the early Puntites, or Somali people, on the Egyptian monuments, show striking resemblances to the Egyptians themselves. » By Brian Brown New York: Brentano's[1923]/ We can understand theses Similarities through their ancestral history :
"Encyclopædia Britannica describes Punt as follows: “in ancient Egyptian and Greek geography, the southern coast of the Red Sea and adjacent coasts of the Gulf of Aden, corresponding to modern coastal Eritrea, Somalia and Djibouti ."/
According to the historian Richard Pankhurst :"""The Egyptians sometimes called Punt land Ta-Netjeru, meaning "Land of the Gods," and considered it their place of origin ." (Richard Pankhurst, The Ethiopian Borderlands:1997) /
"In addition to the erection and endowments of many temples listed in the Palermo Stone, the Pharaohs of the Fifth Dynasty were active, as the King Sahure (2458-2446 B.C.) from this Egyptian Old Kingdom, Dynasty V (2498-2491 B.C.). Egyptian ships also reached the shores of the land of Punt on the Somali coast to procure highly valued cargoes of myrrh, ebony and animals, among other goods. " Text Reference: The UNESCO General History of Africa:
Ancient Civilization of Africa, Vol, II, General History of Africa, G. Mokhtar, 1990, p 64-68
The Queen and Female Pharaoh of Egypt sent a trade expedition to the Land of Punt , the Ancient kingdom of the Somalis , in the 15th century B-C. The Famous French Egyptologist Christiane D.Noblecourt , in his book "Hatshepsout ,the Mysterious Queen" said that the Ancient-Egyptians and The Puntites used to speak and communicate with the same language . Hatshepsut got also many products from the Land of Punt ,surnamed also , the Land of gods , ancestors ,"Ta - An- Jirnay "; as the frankincense , myrrh, ebony, gold , and exotic animals ,Cheetahs, giraffes, baboons, etc .Also ,in order to reinforce the mutual relationships, a Puntite delegation was sent to the Ancient Egypt during the reign of Hatshepsut .
" According to the Ancient Egyptians themselves , the egyptians came from the Land of Punt, the land of gods, ancestors and even , Queen Hatshepsout of Egypt (15th century B-C) said that Hathor The mistress of Punt ,her mother was from the land of Punt ,from "Buun" the ancient name of Somalia ! To conclude ,"Buun" means in Somali "Horn" and the Land of "Buun" (or Punt in european language) is located in the the Horn of Africa, in the Somali territories, " by Abdisalam Mahamoud . Master II degree: History of Civilisations and Religions.
Today, the frankincense-yielding areas in Somalia are still extensive, but the trees are confined to mountain areas, which makes collection difficult; the stands on the coast have long since been destroyed. The trees introduced into Egypt have like wise vanished, and only the bas-reliefs in Thebes are left to tell the story of the wonderland of Punt. -- [forestry department]
Punt and Aksum: Egypt and the Horn of Africa, Jacke Phillips,The Journal of African History, Vo. 38, No. 3 (1997), 423-457
The greek historian Diodorus of Sicily in his book "Universal history "said that in 6th century before-J-Christ , because of a political crisis in Egypt and the euro-asiatics's infiltrations in Egypt , more than 200 thousands of ancient-egyptians migrated in the south of the Nile by crossing Nubia-Ethiopia with their ships ,in the direction of North- Eastern of Africa (Now, Somalia ,Djibouti,Ethiopia ...) ./ This last historical fact can explain why the somali language is a survived ancient-egyptian language ,according to the british linguist :"The language of ancient Egypt belonged to the Hamitic group;today, of course, the language of
Egypt is a form of Arabic, but a descendant of the ancient Hamitic
language of Egypt, Coptic, survived until about the fifteenth
century, and is still used as the liturgical language of the Coptic
Church.Surviving Hamitic languages are spoken across a large part of North Africa and include Somali." (The english language ,A Historical Introduction," by Charles Barber .)
Even, the genetic research prove that the somali DNA is originally from Egypt => Haplogroup E1b1b1a (V68) :19th century before J-Christ => Place of origin : Egypt and northern Soudan . Extract of the genetic research :( More recently, Tillmar et al. (2009) typed 147 males from Somalia for 12 Y-STR loci, and observed that 77% (113/147) had typical E1b1b1a1b haplotypes. This is currently the highest frequency of E1b1b1a1b found in any single sample population. Similarly, Hassan et al. (2008) in their study observed this to be the most common of the sub-clades of E-M78 found in Sudan, especially among the Beja, Masalit and Fur. The Beja, like Somalis and Oromos, speak an Afro-Asiatic language and live along the "corridor" from Egypt to the Horn of Africa.)

Hong Kong Transport - Taxis
The Hong Kong Taxi Culture
There are 18,163 Taxis (Red, Green & Blue) registered in Hong Kong (Source - The Transport Department, Hong Kong Government) and the industry is very heavily regulated.
☛ 15,250 Red Taxis or Urban Taxis
☛ 2,838 Green Taxis or New Territories Taxis
☛ 75 Blue Taxis or Lantau Taxis
Payment for a ride is still mainly in CASH in HK$, cashless payment ie credit cards, debit cards and Octopus cards, phone apps and such are finally being accepted for Taxi payment.
Approximately 72% of Taxis are licenced for 4 passengers and 28% are licenced for 5 passengers and within a few years 5 passenger Taxis will be probably be phased out, Hong Kong people love Uber as many of the cars are what we call the 7 seaters, big and quite luxurious Toyota‛s and Nissan‛s that comfortably hold 6 passengers ideal for groups and families | for the record Uber currently operates illegally in Hong Kong since 2014 and have tacit approval from the Government.
A major review and overhaul of the Taxi Industry is currently in progress which may see Uber becoming legal as well as other ride hailing services.
The current cost of a Red (Urban) Taxi Licence fluctuates between HK$3,500,000 | US$449,000 and HK$4,500,000 | US$577,000 with an average of roughly HK$4,100,000 | US$526,000 over a 12 month period. This figure can fluctuate as people speculate on these! At one stage not too long ago the price hit HK$7,020,000 or US$900,000 and then Uber arrived in Hong Kong. Do the math US$615,000 x 18,163 licences - you can understand why the owners of Taxis do not want any competition from the likes of Uber and other ride hailing companies.
Current Taxis are mainly Toyota, Nissan or Ford, mainly LPG or Hybrids, full EV vehicles are now being introduced again and are gaining in popularity.

For mountainous, landlocked Armenia, Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world, is a major source of people’s livelihood. Azat Karapetyan is one of many people who literally depend on the lake. “My son and I decided to build this small restaurant by the shores of the lake so that customers can enjoy its beauty and our food, says Azat.
Their company, manages several businesses in the town of Sevan. All of them, including a bee farm that relies on the flora around the lake for its honey, and a grocery shop, are either directly or indirectly linked to the lake.
Since the Soviet era, profligate use of the lake’s water for irrigation and electricity generation had caused the level of the lake to drop by 20 meters, with dramatic consequences for the environment. Today, thanks to a rescue plan, the water level is rising again, giving hope that the lake can re-gain its original shape.
However, a major threat still looms over the delicate ecosystem and the people living in the dozens of lakeside villages. “In the past years, the lake has become very polluted, explains Azat. “It’s a problem for our work; the number of clients has decreased. The danger for public health is even greater; until recently, none of the towns and villages around the lake had any wastewater treatment or adequate sewage disposal. Outdated wastewater collection systems, utilising damaged pipes and unsanitary cesspits, would discharge raw sewage into rivers and streams flowing directly into the lake.
To help the Armenian government bear the high costs of a wastewater system upgrade in five municipalities around the lake, the EBRD has provided a €7 million loan and the European Union has contributed a €5 million capital expenditure grant. The project includes sewer pipe repairs in the Sevan and Jermuk area and construction of sewer networks and wastewater treatment plants to serve the towns of Gavar, Vardenis and Martuni. These are among the most destitute areas of Armenia, a country where 30 per cent of the population lives below the poverty line.
The government has on-lent the EBRD funds to the Armenian Water and Sewerage Company (AWSC). “We have already built 50 km of sewerage network and wastewater collectors, announces Alexander Ohanyan, AWSC’s senior officer. “We are about to finish building the three wastewater treatment stations. The works are expected to be completed by the summer. “Thanks to this programme, the water will be treated and the environment will be spared further pollution," he says.
Skills transfer with donor support
To support the preparation and implementation of this first EBRD Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure operation in Armenia, the Early Transition Country’s Fund and the EU provided €1.1 million for technical cooperation (TC) projects. This will encourage the transfer of knowledge and skills to the AWSC and expose the company to best practices in design, engineering and high standards of transparency and governance in procurement.
“It will be delightful to see the lake clean again, comments Azat strolling on the beach after a long day at work. “The neighbours and the guests are very happy that so much attention is being paid towards cleaning the water. It’s very important for our health and for our business.
To secure a healthier environment and to improve people’s lives, the EBRD recently signed another water project in Armenia which will see a further €20 million from the Bank, the EIB and the EU invested in water supply and wastewater system improvements in 17 other small municipalities across the country – helping to save Lake Sevan’s waters drop by drop.

Remark: Text on reverse - Enchanted Forest Stage Lines, Enchanted Forest Amusement Park, Chesterton, Indiana. A true replica of the old stagecoach of the "Wild West." This is a thrilling ride for children of all ages. A scenic trip through the forest.
Enchanted Forest began operations in 1956. It was located on a 35 acre tract of land on the north side of U.S. Route 20 west of Indiana State Road 49. Ted Kruse of Beverly Shores, Indiana, Joseph Karras of Michigan City, Indiana, and James Marzano of Chicago were developers of the amusement park. Initially, the park included thirty deer, elk, mountain goats, buffalo, and guanacos.
The grounds also included a amusement park, concessions, restaurant, picnic area, Santa Claus Workshop, and Story Book Lane, which used animals to portray nursery rhymes.
As a result of poor weather conditions and a heavy debt load, the park filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in April 1990, but soon filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy dissolution in December 1990. The real estate and all assets on the property were sold at public auction on Saturday, October 19, 1991, by Norton Auctioneers of Michigan, Inc.

“Crowd-sourcing Environmental Governance” workshop by Cesar Harada & Shannon Dosemagen.
2011 March 8 & 10, Design & Environment, Goldsmiths University of London.
Hello! Here is Cesar Harada and Shannon Dosemagen writing from the Gulf of Mexico, USA. We are thrilled to announce the upcoming hands-on workshop we’ll be having together in London : Come! And let’s ignite the discussion here.
ABSTRACT : Problem, Questions, Objectives
Each of us is not only witnessing, but actively participating in the degradation of our environment, our only life support system. The symptoms range from climate change, man made catastrophes, resource wars, resulting environmental refugees, etc. We are lacking a powerful environmental authority, a court of justice, and coordination in general. We have amazing earth science but poor individual education, international collateral treaties but no capacity to reinforce them. Governments and institutions are powerless to mitigate such complex and border-less issues. Can the solution emerge from the civil society? Can the people re-invent environmental governance with new technologies, collaborative medias, crowd sourcing, and mobile technologies? Do we need a central authority or can we generate decentralized, local, humble, bottom-up solutions? Can we design alternative services, products, technologies, infrastructures and behaviors as the new form of environmentalism. How can we go beyond activism and sustain long term positive change – what is your strategy?

Social Geometry, Architecture of play, Natural or Man-made Catastrophe, Humanitarian response to crisis, Crowd sourcing Environmental Governance. During 2 days, 10 students will be supervised by Cesar Harada (France – Japan) and Shannon Dosemagen (USA) at the Design & Environment department at the Goldsmith University, London. During the first half, they will experiment with social networks and how they can generate an operational organization and architecture. The students will be introduced to existing forms of environmental governance and cutting edge design and activism. During the second half, groups of students will elaborate their own designs in the area of their interest. Workshop leaders will help them model-building ideas that are creative, local, replicable and scalable. The workshop is aimed at starting a discussion, to encourage the students to take action in the “real world” and have short-term local experiments to learn from.
THE PEOPLE : Students, Workshop leaders
The workshop for the Design & Environment students from Goldsmiths University will require the students to venture their thinking into diverse fields : architecture, law, economy, politics, environmental engineering, anthropology, computer science, social media etc. The groups projects are expected to be diverse and exploratory. Cesar Harada has a background in Design Interactions at the Royal College of Art, won the Ars Electronica Golden Nica [NEXT IDEA] with the Open_Sailing project, worked as project leader and researcher at MIT, and is coordinating the making of the WEA (World Environment Action) website started in *iHub_ Nairobi, Kenya. Cesar is currently coordinating the development of Protei : an oil cleaning open hardware robot.
Shannon Dosemagen has a background in Anthropology from the University of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Shannon is the coordinator of the Oil Spill Map at LA Bucket Brigade, mapping the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico, using Ushahidi, a software allowing people to report by SMS, twitter, mail, on the acclaimed website oilspill.labucketbrigade.org. Shannon has also been piloting the aerial mapping of the Oil Spill by communities as part of the Public Laboratory group. Shannon has extensive community, field and teaching experience, interested in social implications of environmental events, and environmental refugees in particular.

Discussion
We would like to start asking questions to open up the discussion, please comment below and ask more questions – we’ll answer in line :)
1>> When you think about environmentalism, what comes first to your mind? Is it the little actions like recycling / the activist social group / the green ‘leaders’ / green designs and brands / the materials we use / scientific research / global warming / your own body / your children / the philosophical current / something else? Which action has the strongest and longest lasting impact? Can you make a personal numbered list below here, in the comments?
2>> When you think about environmental politics, what comes first to your mind? How do you feel about the current relation between the environment and politics today? How does it affect the majority of peoples life?
3>> As a designer what do you think is your role about environmental issues?
