Just returned from a short work trip....the springlike weather put me in the mood for taking pictures....it feels I've just awoken from a deep slumber.

OPZET VAN EEN VOORONDERZOEK OP WIKIPEDIA COMMONS (29)

Over Wikipedia Vooronderzoek om te kunnen meepraten op Wikipedia kan een hels karwei zijn als je je echt in de materie wil verdiepen. Nu wordt er hier een demonstratie gegeven van de een eerste sessie met zo'n dertig stappen. Het doel hiervan is om enig begrip te kweken voor de complexiteit van de bestuursmatige kant van Wikipedia. Dit wordt gedemonstreerd aan de hand van een actuele zelfs nog lopende zaak.
Met het archiveren van de laatste ideeën is het tijd voor een eindbalans. Om te beginnen een recapitulatie van de afgelopen gebeurtenissen:
- 26 april 2020 : Op Wikicommons wordt een een verwijderdiscussie gestart, waar een hard bewijs wordt gevraagd. Op 5 mei 2020 wordt dit verzoek bekrachtigd.
- 5 mei 2020 : Start van betoog op Commons:De kroeg (zie hier), dat procedure sowieso niet waterdicht is. Er is een andere aanpak nodig.
- 6 mei 2020 : In reactie op betoog wordt als voorbeeld een andere verwijderingsdiscussie over de File Ewoldt jpg genoemd.
- 6 tot 8 mei 2020: In twee dagen besteed ik twee uur aan het vooronderzoek, dat in een serie van 29 stappen en afbeeldingen is vastgelegd.
- 8 tot 10 mei 2020: In twee dagen wordt met de beschrijving van al deze stappen een indruk gegeven van de complexiteit van vooronderzoek op Wikipedia.
De eerste en meteen belangrijkste constatering is, dat meedenken over verwijderde zaken op Commons praktisch onmogelijk is, omdat de documentatie meteen wordt verwijderd. Op Wikipedia is dat eigenlijk niet anders, en dat hoeft helemaal niet. Men kan het bijvoorbeeld voor de overgang elders onderbrengen.
De zaak speelde hierop omdat een moderator met een nieuw argument poneerde en op basis daarvan de knoop doorhakte. De eigen ervaring is, dat dit een schok teweegbrengt bij betrokkenen. Het wil echter nog helemaal niet zeggen, dat de moderator een verkeerd besluit heeft genomen.
Zelf zie ik dat al jaren gebeuren. Welwillende buitenstaanders, outsiders of outcasts hangt zo een zwaard boven het hoofd. Dat wens je niemand toe, en heeft volgens eigen ervaring een diepe impact. Wat je daarvan ziet is naar eigen inschatting slechts het topje van de ijsberg.
Mijn ervaring is ook dat je nergens verhaal kan halen. Het vermoeden is dat Wikipedia zelf zich daarmee steeds verder van de samenleving vervreemd. Er wordt vaak beweert, dat er toch genoeg nieuwe aanwas blijft. Maar ondertussen worden artikelen niet meer onderhouden of uitgebreid want niemand komt daar meer voor terug.
Al langere tijd denkt ik er zelf over na, hoe je daarvoor een alternatief kan bieden. Een luisterend oor, een onafhankelijke bemiddelaar kan daar een uitkomst bieden. Maar er is ook meer inzicht nodig waar de schoen wringt. Meer overzicht op de kennis en de samenleving als geheel kan helpen om de belangrijke zaken te traceren. En expliciete standards op basis van ervaringsgegevens kunnen een meer objectieve basis geven voor besluitvorming.
Met een stapsgewijze beschrijving van de gang van zaken is hier een aanzet gemaakt om deze zaken meer bespreekbaar, inzichtelijk en aanschouwelijk te maken. Het blijft bij een experiment, dat in vele opzichten voor verbetering vatbaar is. Het is ook deel van het eigen onderzoek naar de wetenschap en maatschappij, en het menselijk denken en doen, wat ik met de jaren blijf voorzetten. Ik dank hierbij ieder voor de aandacht.

The Source Of Jealousy
Scriptures: Galatians 5:17-21
Most likely, you have been caught off guard by a wave of jealousy at some point in your life. Was it a spiritual attack? Did the Enemy make you covetous? Was someone or something working to make you resentful?
The answer—which may surprise you— is no. Jealousy actually springs from within us, even though we might try to deflect the blame. For example, we may say, "Well, they just shouldn't have that. They don't deserve it, so I'm perfectly justified in feeling this way."
Do you see what is actually going on here? We are not only feeling envious of someone, but we're also saying that our jealousy is the other person's fault! That's simply not true. We are each 100 percent responsible for our own feelings of envy.
Jealousy is a product of the flesh. In the Bible, it is listed among such sins as idolatry, immorality, drunkenness, and sorcery—sins which stand against our holy God and are described as "earthly, natural, demonic" (Gal. 5:17-21; James 3:15).
Envious feelings can lead to unhealthy comparison of one's own success to someone else's. That pattern can grow into a competition to out-perform others—and may result in full-blown fear and resentment. What a horrible way to live!
Though jealousy is a common emotion, it has no place in a believer's life. So each of us should try to look objectively at our heart motives. Are you plagued with an attitude of jealousy today? Lay your honest feelings out before the Lord, and ask Him to cleanse you of this sinful attitude.

The vision of HSB Turning Torso is based on a sculpture called Twisting Torso. In 1999 HSB Malmö’s former Managing Director Johnny Örbäck saw the sculpture in a brochure which presented Santiago Calatrava in connection with his contribution to the architectural competition for the Öresund Bridge.
It was on this occasion that Johnny Örbäck got the idea to build HSB Turning Torso. Shortly thereafter he travelled to Zurich to meet with Santiago Calatrava and ask him to design a residential building based on the idea of a structure of twisting cubes.
HSB Turning Torso is an amazing combination of sculpture and building. It is also one of the few landmarks in the world which becomes part of everyday life with its ten floors of offices, 147 apartments and meeting facilities on the two top floors.
Santiago Calatrava
The architect behind HSB Turning Torso is Santiago Calatrava. The Spaniard is one of the most fascinating architects of our time and is responsible for a number of fascinating projects.
Calatrava is a trained sculptor, architect and engineer and is among other things responsible for projects such as the Olympic Sports Complex in Athens and the World Trade Center Transportation Hub which is being built in connection with Ground Zero. He has also created several bridges, railway stations and air traffic control towers.
