Ottawa's Marion Dewar Square was the site of the first annual Palestinian Festival. At the heart of the event was a large sound stage for the evenings entertainment. During the sound check I introduced myself to the two guys making the sound come to life there was Apo (Stranger #96) and the main man Nick.
Nick is sound engineer working for Interlace Sound from Montreal. Nick is an experienced production engineer and his job is to co-ordinate the sound and lighting to make the show a blast for everyone there.
Thank you Nick for taking the time out of your busy schedule to be a part of my 100 Strangers Project, I'm sure the festival attendees enjoyed your contribution to the overall success of the event.
This is picture #98 of my 100 Strangers Project.

I was asked to make a mixing desk cake for a friend who works as a sound engineer. Having no idea about these things at all, I enlisted the help of my boyfriend who was of great assistance!
This one is chocolate mudcake.
Made for the 40th Birthday of a sound engineer! Large marbled orange and chocolate cake with rich chocolate buttercream filling. Decorated with fondant and royal icings with additional features made from liquorice and edible ink pens. Yummy!!
Blinking lights, backlit displays and intense throwing your camera around wiggling focus- and zoom-rings on the lens would result in something like this.

Davide Perucchini, sound enginer of the band VERDENA, chose Audix D4 and D6 for miking respectively the tom and the floor-tom of Verdena drums.
Actually, it's a unusual application for these mics, which are ordinarily used with the combination D4-floortom and D6-kick, but the reason of Davide's choice is the extraordinarily big size of the toms and floortom, giving to Verdena drums its charatteristic massive sound!
"A inizio Giugno inizia il tour estivo dei Verdena e avrò modo di provare su più impianti i nuovi microfoni Audix."
And... about the Reference Cables he says:
"La comparazione tra i due cavi mi ha colpito molto e mi ha fatto riflettere sui particolari tecnici che tante volte trascuriamo... Troverò il modo di parlarne con il service e capire se è possibile assicurare questo tipo di prodotto almeno per gli elementi più importanti del mix. Grazie ancora"
