Never one to turn down a challenge ... ;o))) ..... this remark from vanessa-anne on my decorated "snowflake tree" photo ..... * Can you catch one of those fairies and glue it to a snowflake for your next cake? * got me thinking ........ could I catch one ?????
Luckily I stumbled upon this poor little fairy so exhausted from her night's work that she'd fallen asleep on a spare snowflake, bauble in hand ........ so I didn't have to catch her and glue her after all !
And if you believe that, you'll believe anything .............

This is Nevaeh Serenati, my best friend's daughter born on February 2nd, 2015 at 8:36pm. I had the pleasure of meeting her less than a day later.

two red whiskered bulbul babies. they recently hatched and I am sneaking a few pics when I can. I am being extra careful not to disturb them. The mama and dad both are around constantly, tending to them and when I am out on our lanai, they are always within sight, on some nearby branch, just watching to make sure their babies are ok. pictures of the proud parents to follow soon too! what a privilege to have these birds share our space!!
I had the opportunity to go to a private residence that had it's own aviary. The people who lived there had just about every variety of birds you could imagine. Unfortunately most of my shots didn't turn out well due to lighting issues. It also was a spur-of-the-moment stop and not all models always cooperate.

I wasn't allowed to handle this little one (it's choice) but portrait shots were fine.
It had a ball though tugging on my hair and whistling at me :)
