In July 2020 in a brief window the travel warnings were lifted and sailing resumed to and from Svalbard. I made my way from Denmark to Longyearbyen and then out with Hurtigruten on the first ship out of port for a journey to the northern tip of Svalbard and Moffen Island where we crossed 80 degrees north.

These are the photos from that journey.

When you say Colorado - the thought that comes to most people's minds is one of jagged mountains - the Colorado Rockies and continental divide. Perhaps you think of the stunning gorges of the Black Canyon on the Gunnison. What you probably don't think of, are some of North America's most spectacular sand dunes.

Though they've become very, very popular, the Great Sand Dunes of Colorado are a positively spectacular spot. The dunes themselves are windswept and mighty with 700+ foot drifts which sit at the feet of 12,000+ foot peaks.

In early summer, and dependent on weather, you'll also get a snow melt-fueled stream that snakes between the greenery and the dunes serving up a surreal divider and rich nursery for mosquitoes.

As always, my shots are edited with basic modifications and a quasi-NatGeo inspired aesthetic. No artificial light added. Only cropping and lens spots removed. Most shots are single exposure takes.

When I booked my trip to Oman I had no idea what to expect. Friends said it was an incredible spot to visit. Photos of the empty quarter and other regions looked stunning. The general advice I got was that it was a) expensive and b) safe.

During my 6 day road trip at the end of 2019 and start of 2020 I explored the north eastern corner of the country.

I found the prices to be comfortable so long as you were flexible and had your own car. More than that, the beauty of the landscapes was stunning, and the locals were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

These are highlights from that trip.

During a brief lull in the pandemic, Denmark and Norway were "green" and safe for careful travel. During that period I rented a car and spent just under two weeks driving from Tromso, through Senja, then up past Alta to Nordkapp, before returning to Senja and Tromso. These photos showcase the beautiful greens of Norway's Arctic North in the peak of summer.

Despite having been based in Copenhagen for more than 9 years. I'm terrible about getting out and showcasing my adopted city. It's beautiful, I walk it every day, and love sharing it with people. But, I'm very bad about editing the shots, or shooting new spots. Still, occasionally I manage it. In this batch, you'll find a mixture of shots from September 2020.
