DNA studies suggest that native American dogs entered North America from Siberia roughly 10,000 years ago, and were then isolated for some 9000 years until the arrival of the first Europeans; these pre-contact dogs exhibited a unique genetic signature that is now almost gone. A study based on sequencing of ancient dog genomes, published in 2020, suggests that this pre-colonial ancestry survives in two Mexican breeds, to the extent of about 4% in the Chihuahua (and some 3% in the Xoloitzcuintli).

Colonial records refer to small, nearly hairless dogs at the beginning of the nineteenth century; one claims that sixteenth-century conquistadores found them plentiful in the region later known as Chihuahua. In a letter written in 1520, Hernan Cortés wrote that the Aztecs raised and sold little dogs as food.

The American Kennel Club first registered a Chihuahua in 1904, Midget, owned by H. Raynor of Texas.

The wood frog has a broad distribution over North America, extending from the boreal forest of the north to the southern Appalachians, with several notable disjunct populations including lowland eastern North Carolina. The wood frog has garnered attention by biologists over the last century because of its freeze tolerance, relatively great degree of terrestrialism, interesting habitat associations, and relatively long-range movements. The ecology and conservation of the wood frog has attracted research attention in recent years because they are often considered "obligate" breeders in ephemeral wetlands that are themselves more imperiled than the species that breed in them. The wood frog has been proposed to be the official state amphibian of New York.

Once again it was an honor to be apart of your big day and capture these moments that'll last you a lifetime. Admittedly I was a bit nervous stepping out of my comfort zone. This was my first wedding. I'm not use to photographing more than one subject at a time. Let alone being in front of crowds of people. Photography will always be my passion. When I hold that camera to my face, and look through that viewfinder I suddenly feel normal like I'm not suffering from a debilitating pain. My passion for photography keeps me pushing on from the pain that I've been marred by. For now I live to capture the stories of the lives that have lived them. As well for the eyes that never lived them. To all those that have showed me support and shared words of encouragement thank you.

You are appreciated.💜

A Spring moment with my loved ones and I. Walking through a field of colorful flowers. The aroma of tulips in bloom permeat the air. With the sweetest fragrant perfume. Pastels of painterly bokeh paint the scene. I'm forever living my dream,
