This was from a few weeks ago along the California coast.
My cousin is flying into Albuquerque tomorrow where I'll pick her up and we're going to Santa Fe for a couple of days before returning to Durango. We are planning a few day trips from Durango that I'm really looking forward to also.

My mum lives in the charming little town of Sonoma, smack dab in the middle of the California wine country. Sonoma Valley colloquially called the "Valley of the Moon" is considered the birth place of the California wine industry. Beautiful scenery, top notch wines, rustic charm, and family---is it any wonder I love visiting here.

From earlier in the week. Catching up. Temporarily released from the conference room, back in there tomorrow, posting a few shots while I can.
Today is day 191 of Project 365 (Saturday).
It is very gratifying to go to a new location to photograph and it pays off. Gratification isn't only in capturing the image but the complete experience. The gamble, the conditions, the landscape, the solitude, the passion, the moment and the appreciation to live in an area as diverse and as beautiful as Sonoma County, California.
