For 121 Pictures in 2021 #93 "Something that makes you happy", this garden ornament is a recent acquisition. It makes me smile because it is so goofy looking. But more imprtantly, it makes my wife happy, which in turn makes me happy. It is still too early to plant anything, but he will survive until he has some green companions.
....about this old t-shirt with a photo of my kids. Captured for the We're Here group's visit to the What/Who I Love... group.

A happy and hopeful day along with a collective sigh of relief today as we watched Joe Biden take the oath of office as the 46th President of the United States. Dr. Jill Biden holds a bible which has belonged to the Biden family since 1893. Kamala Harris took the oath of office for the Vice Presidency just a few minutes earlier.

It is not this particular spot that makes me happy... as I had never been here before taking this shot. However, that is what makes me happy... getting the opportunity to walk around new areas and explore with my camera.
This shot was taken last Saturday on one of the weekly walks my wife and I have tried to take throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, to explore areas or communities around our city that we previously never took the time to visit. We spent the day walking around the beautiful Johns Hopkins University campus (more pictures to follow in the coming days), and ventured across the street to Stony Run Trail inside Wyman Park.
I have lived in the Baltimore area my entire life and had never been to this spot before... and I can't wait until the next new place my wife and I are able to explore this weekend.
I know this is a photo site, but if in lockdown you are looking for a good read, Clare Hunter's book Threads of Life will fascinate you. It takes the reader from the Bayeaux Tapestry and 1066 through the middle ages, banners, suffragettes, Glasgow School of Art, Charles Rennie MacIntosh, the Great Tapestry of Scotland, community projects as far apart as Australia and Leith in Scotland - history through the eye of a needle exactly. Fascinating.
Our Challenge for March the 2nd was SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY.... Signs of spring make me happy and when I got home from the hospital this was blooming in my front yard... Such a nice greeting !!!!

My photo for May 12th.
Saturday morning we headed to Mystic Seaport. There were some cool buildings, gardens, exhibits and a few ships.
