Something's Gotta Give - Camila Cabello

...If it doesn't hurt me, why do I still cry?

If it didn't kill me, then I'm half alive, half alive

How did we get so far gone?

I should know by now

You should know by now

We should know by now

Something's gotta give, something's gotta break

But all I do is give, and all you do is take

Something's gotta change, but I know that it won't

No reason to stay.... is a good reason to go

Is a good reason to go...

I just watched the movie "It's Complicated."

stylechronicle.blogspot.com/2010/01/its-complicated-set-d...

The set design was so amazing, i fell in love with the house and the interior set decor.

Beth Rubino was the designer and she used a lot of warm orange pillows, browns, and cozy inviting colors. The same designer also created the set from "Somethings Gotta Give." (another divine set)

I'm not going to be volunteer janitor for a geriatric gigolo who's trying to get in my mom's pants and then throws his trash on the floor when I was not fast enough in taking the garbage out of his way. I'm not a child, I'm almost 45 and he's 76. It's a wet, hot, tension filled August.

Tribute to Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962), painted during the 65th anniversary year of her birth. Inspired by one of George Barris's photographs taken of Marilyn in Southern California in the summer of 1962. The artist concentrated on the playful joyousness that helped the tragic actress to survive much of her painful life. This painting was exhibited in Stephen B Whatley's 1993 exhibition Hollywood Gold, staged at London's Royal National Theatre.

In 2006 the painting was published in the book Marilyn In Art by Roger G Taylor (Pop Art Books).

The Big Picture

Music & lyrics by Elton John & Bernie Taupin 1997

On and on

The story of our lives goes on and on

The path of time

The sunsets up ahead roll along

In your eyes

The option of a warm embrace implies

You're my friend

Happy endings keep our love alive

And tell me do I fit in the big picture

Do I have a shot at the big part

'Cause I've been up all night looking at the big picture

I've got some good lines for my big star

Wanna be your main man in the big picture

What a deal to get a part like this

Day to day

The shifting wind just blows us on our way

Here and there

Our pockets full of things to say

Oh my love

I proudly represent you in this world

Little satellite

Brightest star tonight, oh my love

Hope I got a future in the big picture

At the last embrace from the first kiss

One of the interesting things about travelling by bus is the complete apparent randomness. For example, I never would have guessed that going back from Barcelona last year would entail trying to make sense of Man On Fire featuring Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning. In Spanish.

Movie screenings are a staple of airplane travelling, of course, but apparently, if a Greyhound bus crosses more than one province border, the company is allowed to show films, too. Or maybe it was just a Manitoba thing.

So I either had the alternative of watching the prairies slowly unwind or seeing Jack Nicholson seduce the middle-age mother of his current fling after he had a heart attack. How I ended up watching the whole thing is beyond my understanding.

I have managed 35 of 52 weeks but now I must say a cheerful CHEERIO to DDW.

(I would rather finish my 365 AND I have to knuckle down to finishing the book about roller derby.)

Well, first of all let me say that besides the little reflecting color in the middle of my forehead, this is about the most natural photo you will see of me. I just took a breath and snapped the photo. It is SOOC except for a resize. I liked it this way though, so this is what you get. :o)

Other than the that, I am feeling a bit off today, in fact I have been for a few days. I have been wanting to read, but the book that I was going to start is just depressing me..not the kind of book to read right now. Even some of my assigned readings are quite depressing for this new week of class. Anyone have any suggestions on a good read that isn't depressing?
