This was an obvious for me. I don't really make any crafty things. But of course if you know me very well I do make beer. This is a glass of my Latest creation a Belgian Beer. It turned out pretty good. A bit too sweet for me but very tasty. I always have a copy of my favorite magazine close by for more ideas. If you brew beer Zymurgy is a must have subscription.

Taken for the Scavenger Hunt - Something I made. I made quite a lot of these wedding favours for the female guests at my daughter's wedding. The sugared almonds represent health, wealth, happiness, long life and fertility.

for the Scavenger Hunt - "Something you made"

The student movie. Started in 1990, finished 2004. Sat on a shelf for 13 years. Possibly should have stayed there.

from the back of the cover -

'Five men and one woman get trapped in the Channel Tunnel by terrifying aliens bent on their destruction. A dangerous cat & mouse game ensues whilst the survivors try to escape from... Blood Beneath the Waves."

I also made the cover.

Was totally inspired by looking at www.lifeonplanetbaby.com/ to start my BYW blog mood board.

Am having to think hard about what I want my blog to BE, but this exercise just confirms how visual I am...

Spent 20 mins collecting 'things' from around the house (while simultaneously jiggling baby to try to get him to sleep). I'm such a hoarder, good thing though, I knew all this 'stuff' would come in useful sometime!

(Included: flyers from Topshop event when I used to work there - pre 2006, Chelsea flower show leaflet from probably 2008, Cowshed postcard that has been knocking around our kitchen for AGES, ash tray from St John - lots of my favourite things, plus fragments that inspire me and things I think are beautiful)

Setting aside a day for this was a bit optomistic!

As it's Christmas I thought I would finally show off this piece of work which I made for the boy last year. It's rather massive and is a cross stitch version of the Space Invaders arcade game. Pattern made by myself.

I don't know how much I like this photo. I think the angle is really interesting...but I'm tired of doing things with my blue wall as the background :(

I feel like this photo needs a little something more, I just don't know what!

Day 25: Something I made. #janphotoaday

Binders packed FULL of magazine articles and recipes, a photo mat I made and a photo I took, a coffee filter wreath I made, a heart-shaped marble picture I made. I kinda LOVE DIY, but only if it's super easy.

My photo for January 25th.
