finally was able to capture this horse today ...

he has usually been too far away!!

there are many horses in this field and every one of them has their own blanket ...

i just thought this particular one was pretty funky/funny ....

perhaps it matches his personality ??

all the other horses sported brightly coloured solids ....

what colour blanket would you sport ... :D

ODC and 52 Weeks of Pix 2012 - SOMETHING FUNNY's hiding in the WATER. This isn't as easy a theme as I'd imagined. I've seen so many funny moments (or ones that have tickled me) over the last few months, but for the last few days they've eluded me and now I'm stuck at home with a poorly child. Liberation looms large, I hope, but I may not manage to get any suitable pictures later in the week so I decided to post my two offerings. This one just set itself up when I was over-seeing my daughter's bath, but the next one kind of says it all :-)

FMS photo a day June 11th - Something funny - Not a great photo but this is my handsome boy in a funny hat! I should add that he was rewarded with tummy tickles, a nice long walk and some biscuits and no animals were harmed in the taking of this photo! ;)

Some people have the ability to fall asleep anywhere at anytime. I'm guessing this guy was out on a shopping trip with his wife and took a short break.

My daughter insists on using a sleep-mask at bed time and cannot go to sleep if she's not surrounded by about a zillion fluffy toys surrounding her. A recent addition to her collection is a weirdly squidgy, neon pink, bulgy-eyed caterpillar. When I went to check on her and switch off lights I found her exactly like this and couldn't resist the photo-opp (thankfully she's a sound sleeper). Although how she's asleep with all that hair tickling her nose is beyond me :-)

My daughter's school held a Poppy Appeal fun run today and this dapper gent - and his spectacular moustache - was there to cheer them on (in case you're wondering "What's the Poppy Appeal?" it's a fundraising drive for the British Legion which cares for war veterans and is very active in the time leading up to Armistice Day/Remembrance Day on 11th November).

52 Weeks of Pix 2012 Something Funny? Just another manic Monday and I'm lost for inspiration for this week's theme. I saw this dopey/tipsy-looking Smurf toy in my daughter's room which sort of inspired me/summed things up.

He certainly was laughing at something funny. (I think it may have been me as I had just dropped my things as I was trying to get his photo without being noticed!!)

In round 13 of "Get Pushed" I have been paired with the wonderful Laurie2123.

Since I travelled to Mexico over the weekend she challenged me :-

"...to capture the flavor and mood of Mexico. I would love to see people in your shot. A candid shot that draws the viewer in and lets us feel as if we are right there in Mexico with you. It is the next best thing to be able to share your experience through your lens since we can’t all go on vacation with you."

I was originally going to submit this lovely fellow, but then decided I needed more shots to show the true flavor and mood of Mexico, so I have compiled a collage of some shots I took this morning. See below. They include this shot and some other candids of the people, lots of colour, and a couple of things that typify Mexico to me.

Photo A Day: June 11 | something funny

I grew up watching Looney Toons cartoons (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote) and the Three Stooges. Low-brow humor? Lots of people say so. Funny stuff? To me, it always has been. There's an art to it, whether in cartoons are in real-life slapstick. I don't think it's been nearly as good as it was from the 1930s through the 1950s.

This is my attempt to pay homage to that time and those (yes, violent, but always comically so, in my eyes) cartoons and comedies.

105/150 clue: something funny

Amelie had picked a leaf off the cafe plant and was trying to attach it to her mother's hair. Looks like mum is enjoying the experience but it was so funny to see. It kept her amused while we all had a bite to eat.

Our 8 month old cocker spaniel puppy, Fudge, seems to be finding the world hilarious. In reality, he's in the middle of a yawn!

Having some fun with my work about mustaches this month (something about Movember). So decided to take a photo with a chocolatish mustache.

(After taking the pic and putting it in the 52 Pix Group, I saw the pic of Chojicha! I'm sorry, didn't steal the idea of you! ;) )

I asked him to laugh hysterically. He did. It made me laugh. Therefore, it was something funny.

I told the groom to whisper something funny into the brides ear and she began to laugh hysterically. I'm not sure what was so funny but he sure can make her laugh!

This is my dentist's waiting room, and pretty much expressed how I was feeling too!

Ethan thinks his reflection in the (filthy) oven door is very funny!
