Seen here, the sautéed red onions, along with lemons, their peel, cedar sprigs (which were sautéed with the red onion), and a host of other goodies.
The process to brine a turkey involves allowing the bird to soak for several hours (it will soak for at least 1 full day - 24hours, and more like 36 hours+) in a highly concentrated saltwater solution to which other flavoring ingredients have been added.
The bird is in a 5 gallon container, which has about 2.5 gallons of water (the balance being displaced by the bird), into which has been dissolved a full container of salt (~2 cups+/-, or 26 ounces by weight, 1 pound 10 ounces by weight), 1 cup brown sugar (by volume), 2c vinegar, 1 Tablespoon each sage, rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, turmeric, 8-10 bay leaves, 2T whole peppercorns, 2T freshly ground black pepper, 1 sautéed red onion, 1/2 white onion, 2 lemons & peels, 2 orange peels only, and 4 small branches cedar sprigs.

English:
When I was offered this commission immediately I regretted that would be an opportunity just to make money, show some carving skills and assembling designs. Fortunately I was wrong. I hate making replicas, specially of my own stuff from my past life, but that sculpture work was not the case.
The "carnavalesco" (director of art for the parade) asked me to do something clearly inspired on the Pietá on Saint Peter's Basilica, to evoke that art work, but with differences. That was the nicest work situation for me: I was being asked to repeat my own work of the past with the freedom to propose new proportion relation between the mother and her son's dead body and to recreate lots of details. The only annoying limitation would be the cutting of the sculpture in parts for the assembling technique needed for the float.
The Pietá theme, which origin was from northern europe (german), has the well known knotty esthetic problem: "the awkward contrast between the ungainly male body and the smaller woman holding it". The solution that everyone can notice on the Saint Peter's Pietá is that the Virgin is bigger than his dead son's body surrounded by drapery cascading. This is known as pyramidal composition (I can't remember from where I took it but I assure you that I was used of that solution for Virgin's images). This Pietá for a carnival work was the opportunity to check out if the Virgin could follow at least the same proportion of Christ's dead body (or even be a little smaller).
Beyond the classic art challenge, this Pietá would be almost three times bigger than the original. That should be enough to defy anyone's sculpting capacity when you would be working in a so crowded and unhealthy place: thermal sensation about 60ºC (stated by experts), breathing resin and surrounded by woven fiberglass. Worst: with less than a month to do it, I was always being remembered by jealous people that my work would be compared with one of the most famous work of art on the planet. Well,… here is my response to them.
Bem,... eis a minha resposta

BIA method (bioelectrical impedance) is the most simple and effective method to measure the fat, protein, body water, and bone mass of human body.
It is one of the important conditions for health to have a proper proportion of various components in the body and keep them relatively stable. Excessiveness or deficiency of a certain body component is often a sign or symptom of illness. Long-term imbalance of body composition will bring serious harm to health and is closely related to the following diseases: cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, osteoporosis, kidney diseases, metabolic diseases, digestive system diseases, obesity, and body fat dysfunction.
Keeping a certain proportion of body composition stable is one of the important indicators to measure whether a person is healthy or not. Accurate, simple, and rapid determination of human body components is necessary to help the subject determine their own health status. The analysis of human body components has incomparable value. The fluctuation of human body components and the imbalance between components can scientifically define obesity level and have auxiliary diagnostic functions for some other diseases. Therefore, the stability of body composition is one of the important standards to measure a person's healthiness. Accurate, simple, and rapid determination of human body composition can be used in the etiology and pathogenesis of various nutritional metabolic diseases (including nutritional disorders), nutritional disorders or metabolic disorders, clinical manifestations, as well as the basis of nutritional diagnosis and nutritional treatment. After equipment testing, fitness professionals can give quantitative advice to the subject, to help them achieve a healthier body.
Based on the body composition analysis report, solutions can be provided for patients with primary nutritional disorders caused by insufficient, excessive, or improper intake of nutrients.
It can jointly diagnose and treat patients with secondary malnutrition caused by organic or functional diseases, traumatic stress, and special physiological factors.
It can diagnose and treat patients with metabolic diseases caused by metabolic disorders jointly with all clinical departments.
The nutrition department should regularly screen the inpatients for body composition, and screen out the patients with maladjusted body composition through the detection, evaluation, and diagnosis of body composition. For those patients who need therapeutic diet, enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition, the clinical nutrition department should give reasonable nutritional treatment.
Master the commonly used methods of nutrition monitoring and nutritional status evaluation and their diagnostic significance: human component analyzer, anthropometry, human metabolic rate measurement, etc.; Nutrient level determination (such as vitamins, minerals, etc.), rapid reaction protein determination, lymphocyte count, metabolic test (such as nitrogen balance test, etc.), food intolerance and other biochemical tests; Bone mineral density determination and other imaging examination; Nutrient intake measurement and other nutritional conversion.
It is suitable for monitoring the nutrition and metabolism status of inpatients in nutrition department
It is suitable for the health of the fluid and internal environment of kidney disease patients
Subhealth physical examination with body composition as the coreSubhealth assessment system

From Wikipedia: The Pink Member of the Claron Formation is largely composed of easily eroded and relatively soft limestone. When rain combines with carbon dioxide it forms a weak solution of carbonic acid. This acid helps to slowly dissolve the limestone in the Claron Formation grain by grain. It is this process of chemical weathering that rounds the edges of hoodoos and gives them their lumpy and bulging profiles.
In the winter, melting snow seeps into cracks and joints and freezes at night. The force of the expanding ice helps to erode the rock of the Claron Formation. Over 200 of these freeze/thaw cycles occur each year in Bryce Canyon. Frost wedging exploits and widens the nearly vertical joint planes that divide the Pink Member of the Claron Formation.
Internal layers of mudstone, conglomerate and siltstone interrupt the limestone horizontally. These layers are more resistant to attack by carbonic acid and they can therefore act as protective capstones of fins, windows and hoodoos. Many of the more durable hoodoos are capped with a type of magnesium-rich limestone called dolomite. Dolomite dissolves at a much slower rate, and consequently protects the weaker limestone underneath.
However, the same processes that create hoodoos will also eventually destroy them. In the case of Bryce Canyon, the hoodoos' rate of erosion is 2–4 feet (0.6–1.3 m) every 100 years.

Adam was born to a multi-talented beauty queen Mother and a Father who, in addition to being a US Army Spy and a Counter-Intelligence Special Agent, was also a highly accomplished entrepreneur. Adam was taught at a young age that, in both life and business, loyalty is a requirement for success. He’s had the honor of working directly with his father in several of the family businesses. In fact, this is where he learned crucial entrepreneurial skills and honed his talents with international business strategies and venture capitalism.
Adam earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in International Business and Marketing from the University of Utah. He was hand-picked by the President of the University’s renowned School of Business to compete with dozens of other ambitious nationwide-graduates for the opportunity to secure a lucrative job within a prestigious Fortune 100 company.
Adam‘s hard work and creativity helped him land this job of a lifetime. He obtained incredible business experience there and spent years innovating, improving processes and setting sales records. Although this dream job in Traditional Corporate America was a fun challenge for him, and something he truly enjoyed mastering, Adam’s natural entrepreneurial spirit kept nudging him to do something more significant with his time and talents.
Since 2001, Adam has been involved in the Health and Wellness Industry as a successful Entrepreneur, Broker, Product Developer and Manufacturer of Cosmeceutical products. During his career, he has worked with some of the most recognizable Fortune 500 businesses along with many top international Network Marketing companies. Adam has consistently proven his unique ability to help his clients achieve their goals through creative Distribution-Channel Placement, innovative Product Development and custom Manufacturing. Adam currently owns three profitable businesses.
Admittedly, Adam was not initially a fan of Network Marketing. He did not understand the business model because it was new to him. However, once he learned that the REAL focus of Direct Sales is to help average people get a taste of entrepreneurialism --- with minimal risk and at a low cost --- Adam was absolutely convinced of the potential with Multi-Level Marketing.
Since joining the company as one of the original 11 founding distributors, Adam has discovered that many of his life-goals truly do align perfectly with Network Marketing. Adam enjoys helping others find significance. Adam is most grateful for the complete time-freedom he has with his fantastic wife and five children. It’s my pleasure to introduce you to Adam Paul Green, MXI Corp Ambassador and Multi-Millionaire Earner.

Here is my third very solid solution to the Reverse Engineering 3's week 7 tie-break.
I've been looking for a solution that connects everything with studs. This one comes closest, using a couple flex tubes for additional rigidity. This one is probably not stronger than my version 2, but is no weaker either.
The exploded view is color-coded. The black bricks are travis bricks, the lime ones are 1x1 technic, and the grey one is a plain 1x1. The two travis-technic-travis units are held together with flex tube.
The travis and technic bricks hold 10 of the 12 side plates and one of the "pyramids".
There are two kinds of 1x1 plate with horizontal rod holders in this -- the one with the thin loop and the one with the thick loop. Here the thin loop is light pink and the thick loop is dark pink.
The thick loop is one plate thick and puts the dark-red 1x1 plates flush to the top. Unfortunately, it also puts the one to the side slightly down from the top. This works fine for a connection to a 1x2 tile. So this connects the last two side tiles and two of the end plates of the second pyramid.
These plates will not fit on the other two travis bricks because that offset would make them run into the technic bricks.
Luckily we have the thin-loop ones. These are proportioned so that the red 1x1 plates on their loops line up with the side of their plate. They are connected to the other two end plates of the pyramid, and also to the same side tile as the technic bricks.
And to even further stiffen it, a pin-stud and regular 1x1 connect the plates through the center. (In the IRL model the center brick is round since I really seem to have lost my entire container of 1x1s.)
--An assembly note - notice the thin loop plate does not actually push into the travis brick. (The front corner of the bottom right inset.) This does not affect solidity in the least as it is securely connected in three other ways. However, it is best to connect it to the end plate first, and then assemble it in.

Intralipid is also widely used in optical experiments to simulate the scattering properties of biological tissues. Solutions of appropriate concentrations of intralipid can be prepared that closely mimic the response of human or animal tissue to light at wavelengths in the red and infrared ranges where tissue is highly scattering but has a rather low absorption coefficient.
Earth Designs Garden Design and Build were asked to created a landscape and propose garden design in South Woodford, Essex*. Here are the details of the project
The Family Landscape Garden in South Woodford, Essex RM14
BRIEF:
Lawn, planting and privacy were considerations for the client in this small sub-urban garden. The brief was to create a garden that would accommodate the needs of the client’s child whilst being interesting to adults and usable for dining and entertainment. The solution would need to deal with the different levels and provide interest throughout the year.
SOLUTION:
This design makes maximum use of limited space by dividing the garden into two distinct areas.
The existing fences along all boundaries were removed and replaced with new fencing, upon which willow screens were fixed.
The main focal point of the space takes the form of a seating/dining area to the left hand side of the garden. Constructed from robust new treated railway sleepers, this area comprises an L-shaped fixed bench backed by a tall L-shaped raised bed and complimented by a freestanding table and low bench (also constructed from railway sleepers). This area screened from the rest of the garden by a rusted iron mesh trellis to the back of the raised bed. Flooring in this section and down the sideway is in stylish golden Iroko hardwood decking. The sideway itself features a tall stainless steel ‘monolith’ water feature, which can be viewed from all sides.
Access to the garden is provided by a set of decking steps from the patio door leading to a small rectangle of slate paving directly in front of the patio doors. Further decked steps lead from the paving to the second half of the space, which features a kidney shaped lawn bordered on one side by a curved granite sett path. This path leads to a 1.5m diameter granite sett paved circle in the bottom left corner of the garden, large enough to accommodate a café-style table and chairs or display a variety of pots or garden ornaments.
A child-friendly railway sleeper ‘growing’ bed was constructed behind the exposed side of the L-shaped raised bed and left un-planted for future use by the client’s child. Planting throughout the space was chosen to provide year round interest, including a mimosa in the left hand corner. The addition of long flowering herbaceous perennials ensures maximum colour throughout much of the year, while evergreen shrubs help give the garden backbone across the seasons. Climbing clematis planted around the boundaries will over time help to soften and obscure the fencing.
Lighting in the garden is simple yet comprehensive. The risers of each decking step are lit with small ‘micro led’ lights to safely guide the user into and out of the space. Net lighting on the mesh screen draws ones eye to the seating area, while stainless steel bollard lights placed at either end of the L-shaped bed the bench frame this section of the space. The stainless steel water feature is illuminated from both sides by spotlights fixed to the decking. Low-voltage spotlights throughout the planting beds give the garden a subtle, gentle glow.
