e were honored to host Mr. Vipul Patel, a prominent greentech entrepreneur and industrialist from JVS Comatsco, India, who was visiting Stockholm and Sweden in search of green solutions. His insights and experiences shared were precious. Thank you.
The focus and interest was on energy solutions such as storage, solar thermal, water, and waste-to-energy solutions, as well as discussions around Food and Agtech next-generation systems such as nanophotonics.
There were visits to innovation hubs such as Norrsken House and the Smart City Sweden showcase in Hammarby Sjöstad, corporate visits, and a brilliant session with Pär Larshans and Ragnsells.

Continuing with our post series on the incredible achievements of Indian Women in the Space sector, we bring to you the story of yet another inspiring female scientist of ISRO. She is Mrs. Nandini Harinath, who as a Deputy Operations Director – Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan), played a stellar role in making the country proud by becoming the 1st in the world to reach Mars in the first attempt. In her two-decade long journey at ISRO, she has been a part of several important projects, her qualities and achievements have showcased what a woman could achieve, and that women could do wonders like every sector, in space sector too.
From managing gruelling work schedules to walking the tight rope in terms of budget for the space missions, she is a true leader and has always led her team and performed her work to perfection. Achievements and inspiring stories of scientists like her, have paved the way for increased role and entry of women in India’s space sector.
The pride with which each Indian celebrated the success in space, is a testimony to untiring efforts and bright future for the youth and especially girls and women in India’s space leadership.

We’ve had the privilege of working with SalesManage Solutions for several years so we were very excited when they came back to us to help redefine their website again. Besides being over two years old, SalesManage had just undergone an internal re-focusing and we all felt like the old site just didn’t explain who they were and what they did very well.
While the previous site looked nice enough, we needed to go much deeper for this re-design. We had many long conversations about who they were as individuals, as a team and exactly who their product was for. It became clear that while Lance and Steve were both great writers, we needed someone to come in and explain in very plain terms what they did and what they belived in. Working with Austin Church of Needed Writer we decided that we needed to tell stories. The story of how SMS came to be and the story of their clients who all had massive increases in sales or recruiting retention. Instead of clinically telling people a bunch of sales lingo we put real faces on real problems and real solutions.
Visually, the mantra was simplify. Simplify as much as possible. And the result was just that. Knowing we would have excellent content, we designed everything else to stay out of the way. It was quite a challenge and very different from a lot of the designs that we do, but the effort was worth it. Now potential clients hitting SalesManage Solutions’ site know exactly what they do and how they can help them.
Technically, this site was a few firsts for us. We were able to code it in HTML5 and CSS3, negating the need for quite a few images, and making it much easier to maintain down the road. Also, this was our first site assembled in ExpressionEngine 2. We’re happy to report that SMS finds the Control Panel much easier to navigate and we’re quickly becoming fans of the new architecture ourselves.
The design and architecture will be used for an entire family of SalesManage sites, so we wanted to make sure we built everything to scale well and be as future-proof as possible. Look for more SMS sites in the future!
