1975 Luxembourg morning
I arrived from London too late to find a decent priced hotel. I spread my sleeping bag below the weeping willow tree behind a church. This is what I saw when I awoke, people hurrying to work across the bridge through the fog. At that time, I was young, free and that morning felt so true and full of promise. I was 25.
As I was out on a small hill to look for spring trees, I couldn't resist to take a more classic sunset shot as I saw this dramatic set of clouds.

The first of many images to come from my solo trip up the Scottish West Coast....
My first night in the hired Campervan was spent alongside Lochan na Achlaise on Rannoch Moor on the road to Glencoe.
It took a while for the morning sun to light up the mountain behind and the red tree on the small island, but when it eventually did the scene just came alive with colour, which i hope i have captured in this image.
- You’ve probably heard of or had the chance to pass by the Hai Van Pass if you’ve ever visited Hue or Da Nang in Vietnam. At the foot of the pass on the Hue side lies a tranquil lagoon. On clear, windless days, its still surface resembles a giant mirror, reflecting both the sky and the land, blending into a breathtaking natural painting that makes one feel as if they’ve stepped into a fairyland.
- Lap An Lagoon, also known as An Cu Lagoon, is located at the foot of Hai Van Pass, next to Lang Co town in Hue city. Covering about 800 hectares, it is one of the most beautiful brackish lagoons in Central Vietnam, surrounded by the majestic Bach Ma mountains and the turquoise waters of Lang Co Bay.
- The lagoon is famous for its peaceful scenery, especially when the tide recedes and a white sandy path appears, often called the “road in the middle of the sea.” Sunrise and sunset here create breathtaking views, with the sky and water blending into a dreamy painting.
- Lap An Lagoon is also home to local fishing communities, well known for their traditional oyster farming. Visitors can enjoy not only the stunning natural landscape but also fresh and delicious seafood. It is an ideal stopover on the journey between Hue and Da Nang, offering a serene atmosphere and an authentic local experience.

- This is my second time coming here. It seems that the color of the Nho Que River changes with the seasons emerald green in autumn, while in spring it takes on a bluer hue. No matter the shade, the river winding between these majestic mountains will always leave people in awe of nature’s beauty.
- The Nho Que River originates the Nho Que Spring in Yunnan Province, China, before flowing Vietnam. It winds through the northernmost part of Vietnam, creating a natural boundary between the provinces of Ha Giang and Cao Bang. The river stretches over 192 kilometers, with 46 kilometers flowing through Vietnamese territory.
- The River is renowned for its turquoise waters and dramatic landscapes. Winding its way through steep limestone mountains and lush valleys, the river offers some of the most picturesque views in the region. Key viewpoints such as Ma Pi Leng Pass and Tu San Canyon provide breathtaking perspectives of the river and its surroundings

It amazes my mind how so much snow can transform a valley that one is so familiar with to a place that offers fresh perspectives everywhere even for those seasoned travelers.
Pictured here is cook's meadow and the ever famous oak tree that I have driven past multiple times during my previous visits and never have I imagined this frame with reflections of Half dome.
Mother nature is truly beyond human imagination and manages to take you by surprise during the times you least expect..!

A pretty village, situated on both banks of the Lachung River, Lachung is an ideal place for nature lovers. Quiet, serene, beautiful, Lachung is everything that a visitor requires of a place. Lachung literally means ‘Small Pass’, which it indeed is as it is situated in the close proximity to Tibet border. The Lachung Gompa is the major attraction of the town, whereas, a short distance from here is Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary that is also a must see
.

- This time, I traveled down to the coastal provinces. Honestly speaking, the central coastal regions of Vietnam boast many stunning natural attractions—especially the crystal-clear, emerald beaches.
- The lighthouse in the photo named Sa Ky and it's near Sa Ky Port, which serves as the departure point for both tourists and locals heading to an island called Ly Son, located about 16 nautical miles from the mainland.
- I took this photo in the late afternoon at the Thach Ky Ban Tau scenic spot, kind of rocky reef which is also near Sa Ky Port.
