A photograph taken from my late father Ronald Wardle, estate.
I am going through some old slides and have discovered a treasure trove of Auto themed imagery. This image of what was his VW Beetle taken in Galloway in Scotland.
There are other photos of his VW parked up in interesting locations in the North of England and Scotland.
I have discovered a connection of sorts with my dad that I never knew existed, with a shared penchant for photographing the automobile.
Look forward to sharing more gems like these.

My friend Barnaby Nutt showed me this ractangle on the wall when we were exploring Wrocław together. I loved this place and on another visit decided to do a remake of his shot that you can see in the comments.

Oh, and please come back soon Ektachrome! My stash is almost gone!
Marbled White - Melanargia galathea along the roadside in Pampisford, Cambridgeshire, 13th July 2021. This is a fairly sizeable colony, with the largest individuals having a 4-5cm wingspan and numbering 18-25 insects. The food plant in these shots is Greater Knapweed, but they were also to be seen on wild Carraway.
