TES V: Skyrim

As the temperatures approach 0, and that's zero Fahrenheit, not Celcius, the local scenery loses most of its color, except for the odd berry or sunglow.

Can't think of a better place for some quiet contemplation, especially with a sunset like this.

A 5 image blend in Photoshop to capture the full dynamic range.

I'm posting more than I normally do {gasp} but I couldnt decide which shot from this morning to post, so I put up 3. And then it was Fence Friday, so I had to pull one out of my Thanksgiving trip to Maine. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Yikes, needed I.V. caffeine this morning..spelled solace with an i. All better now...caffeine circulating through my system.... :p

Solace Hokkaido 2020

I was looking through the raws from here and chose to process this as I quite liked the balance created by the 2 passing clouds and also the delicate patterns on the snow.

Hope you enjoy viewing

Last week, my girlfriend and I went to Yosemite to catch the famous Horsetail Firefalls. To our surprise, there was absolutely no snow on the ground and no horsetail falls to be found (it runs on snow melt). I guess you can say we lucked out because we were able to hike trails that are usually closed off during this season with little to no crowds. This was taken as we were making our way down from Upper Yosemite Falls. The alpine glow on half dome and the cascading Upper falls was surreal.

I took quite a few pictures the last few months that I didn't have the urge to post. Mostly in my yard as Scout wasn't up to much travel and I wasn't up to leaving him. We spent a lot of time together and a took a lot of last shots of him. Occasionally I focused my camera elsewhere. This was one of those times.

... may peace and comfort quickly find the families of London ...

Hold me, comfort me… talking Tulips, what they are saying and what I ‘hear’…

Enjoy and make the BEST of every day!

Captured at twilight in the remote portion of Monument Valley, accessible only with a professional Navajo guide.

Ironically many consider Monument Valley in Utah; however the Navajo Tribal Park spans both Utah and Arizona, and in fact most of its predominant features, including this one, are located in Arizona.

Beautiful aqua moody icy day on this 28th of February 2020. Snow reflects the harsh sun pounding on Arolla ski resort (2'200 up to 3'000 meters), where wind can bring the temperature down to thirty degrees below zero. What a tremendous harsh and preserved valley.

Sometimes its good to have a friend to comfort you when you're down and out. I watched the guy on his mobile phone , evidently in some distress and his friend try to provide comfort. Some images carry powerful stories.
