EXPLORE #31 3/7/1 LOLAK to you all!! ( Lots Of Love And Kisses)
I had my daughter help me by texting with me the dialog and I took a picture of her phone--however i cannot take credit for the idea--I just happened to see this at www.parentsshouldnttext.com
I did some paraphrasing because there are some works or phrases I don't normally use.
I had to shoot this in the light and with my macro lens to get a clear image. The screen of the iPhone makes patterns when photographing.
A new cartoon tribute by Stephen B. Whatley, created gradually over the past few months, celebrating one of America's classic TV sitcoms, The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet ; that ran on ABC from 1952 to 1966.
The series starring the real Nelson family, Ozzie Nelson (1905-1975) and Harriet Hilliard Nelson (1909-1994) and their handsome sons actor & trapeze artist David Nelson (1936-2011) and actor and singer, Ricky Nelson (1940-1985).
Harriet Hilliard who played the mother and wife - which in real life she was - had been a singer and actress for decades before ; and the artist was charmed by her in the 1943 film The Falcon Strikes Back (1943).
Loving old Hollywood and the USA Whatley only first watched episodes via Youtube about a year or so ago. Since then through DVDs he has found the show sofunny and uplifting.
As it is the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the TV show - (it began on radio) - maybe in America they will re-run the series ; certainly more DVD releases are coming.
Here are 2 of the artist's favourite episodes :
The Newly Weds Get Settled (1961)

The Tangled Web (1966/ colour) - co-stars Audrey Christie who is brilliant as 'Barbara', Clara's friend.

British artist Stephen B. Whatley is primarily an expressionist painter and you can see more of his work via his website: www.stephenbwhatley.com
I took so many pics of Harry in his specs, me and my older son were crying with laughter looking through them all, I had such a job picking which to put up in my stream... so I just had to put a few more up, couldn't help myself, a collage of some more favorites.
the only thing she really wanted to do while at disneyland, was to see the princess'. we stood in line for an hour or more and belle was the first one we saw when we turned the corner. maria's reaction was unreal!! so glad i got this on camera.
a friend told us this should be on their brochure. :)
this little guy is an escape artist. he escapes his yard every day and comes over to play with figgy. i have to wait till he's all tired out to put him back or he'll just bust out again. if he wasn't so funny, he'd probably drive us crazy.
HUGE THANKS TO DR. RASTERBATOR!!!!
Rasterbator took the Original photograph that my SKAM character is based off of and created this amazingly funny collaboration and utiliized the same methods i use to print my recycled sheets of vinyl!!!
Super excited to get these out there and put them up for Stick or Treat 2012!!!!!

welcome to my life. I have often wondered what I look like to everyone else while walking my two beasts. This is not pretty.

So, my session on Friday was two brothers and their cousin who is a week younger than the youngest brother. :P
They were obviously the Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2, this is my favorite from the costumes, the look on the baby's face at his cousin is TOO MUCH... LOL
Mom made Thing one and Thing two... I'll post a photo of the whole costume later on those.
Its as much as I can do to go and stand by the window. So that's what I do. And then I go and sit by the computer and try and make myself look like 10 years younger. I'm 107.
yesterday was my Mom's birthday. she passed away 4 years ago and I still miss her so much.
she loved to go out for french fries. we'd be out shopping somewhere and she'd say, "let's go to the Elite (a greasy little diner) for fries" and we would.
so every year on her birthday I go out somewhere and find the best homemade fries around.
It is good to remember those we've lost and still love.
xo you've made me who i am Mom. xo

I just had to do this shot for my recent review of Elgato's latest creation, the EyeTV HD. The box pulls 720p HD content from your existing cable box or satellite receiver and brings it over to your Mac.
While it isn't much more than a glorified TV tuner with an IR blaster and a shiny little Roku-sized form factor, it does work very well. The coolest part of the EyeTV software is the automated export process, so your show gets recorded and then turned into an iPhone/iPad friendly MPEG-4 file and added to iTunes. Extremely cool.
I know that I rarely find myself in front of my living room TV, this is part of the reason it pains me that I pay so much for cable, but with this little guy, I can bring my entertainment on the go without much hassle.
Only issue, as of right now I do not have an extra STB near any of my computers.. so, either need to set up a Mac Mini media PC in the living room, or get another HD STB for the office.
Check out the full review at Examiner… (there is also a video of streaming over 3G, and it is very impressive)

One of my favorite things about Sharon is she is really quick to laugh. Not just a ha ha, but a heart felt, deep infectious laugh. I have all kinds of shots that blurred up & down because I was laughing so hard. This was not a planned shot, just one of those moments. She was laughing at me yelling at her to stop making me laugh....... I should be a brat and submit this is the AARP magazine......(hehehehehehehehehe ) that would teach her!!
