Just another in the collection of barns. Ontario has such a great rural community. I do not know where we would be without our farmers.
Thank you

Raided the grandkids' bag of marbles for this one. I broke the rule of using an odd number of objects - but it works ok I think. As this is from my archives it's inspired me to have another go when I'm able.

Thank you for your visit and faves and comment.
Mainly, I replaced the sky using Luminar 4 in this re-edit. Its amazing AI did this in one click with no painstaking masking needed. Original edit below in Comment section. Whatever your opinion on sky replacement, I like playing around with software to see what it can do.

25 variations of an industrial warehouse made with the AI text-to-image software "Midjourney". Style = "covered by overgrown forest".
Early morning turnout to Reddish Vale CP for macro subjects. This is 7 images manually focus bracketed then stacked in software.
A re-edit from 2018 because software has improved since then. Lightroom didn't have layer masks, and doing that in photoshop sometimes becomes cumbersome.

I always loved that shot, I know , it could have been way better, but difficult to stack with windy conditions
Old shot remastered... sorry the weather is still bizarre around here

Can AI "photos" coexist with the "traditional" imagery???
Do you feel "betrayed" when (if) you found out a photo was an Artificial "photo"... are we getting used to being "lied" too?
Things are likely to become yet more complex as use of artificial intelligence by artists becomes more widespread, and as the machines get better at producing creative works, further blurring the distinction between artwork that is made by a human and that made by a computer.

A bench inside the amazing Puzzlewood, an ancient woodland in the forest of Dean.
The latest Huntsman film has scenes set here and probably the biggest so far is a segment from the new Star Wars saga - The Force Awakens.
Puzzlewood doubles as the planet Takodana, home to Maz Kanata and features an important scene between Rey and Kylo Ren.
The forest has also featured in Jack the Giant Slayer, Merlin, Atlantis, Dr Who & Davinci's Demons.

Software has always been one of my weaknesses so I chose to spend most of April developing my digital skills.
Even though I still have no clue what I'm doing, my renders should (hopefully) look more vibrant and life-like from now on. I've still got some way to go but I think it looks much better than before.
I actually built this speeder with real bricks more than a year ago but it ended up unsuccessful. The only part I liked about it was the back/thrusters so I gave it some time and finally revisited it digitally, added some detail and completely redid the nose from scratch.
Taken yesterday 11 days old 92.5% Illumination
Used my T3i and the 80mm ED refractor with software touch up
This is a rework of a picture I've posted before, using latest software. Key for me was bringing out the details of the pilot - I love that we can so clearly see his gloved right hand on the control column - and I also tried to improve the legibility of the stencilled instructions such as 'Walkway Forward' on the wing. I used a lighter touch with wing surface detailing, than previously. I'll probably have another go at this one next year!
The Horsehead Nebula, captured from GrandMesaObservatory.com in Purdy Mesa, Western Colorado using the Holloway Takahashi 130 FSQ and QHY367C Full Frame CMOS camera.
I acquired the data in Color + H-Alpha, OIII and SII over 4 nights, processed here are versions in RGB, HaRGB with Ha mapped to red channel and also used as Luminance layer, H-Alpha only and finally a Hubble Palette version with SII, Ha and OIII data mapped respectively to the R, G and B channels to create a Hubble Palette (SHO) rendering.
Total Integration time 20.5 hours
I have also created a video from these images which can be seen on YouTube here: youtu.be/Y2v8ke2aPLw

The setup I used is System 1 and one of 3 telescopes currently available through Grand Mesa Observatory’s Subscription services grandmesaobservatory.com/equipment-rentals/
Less than one hundred light years from the Orion Nebula lies the aptly named Horsehead Nebula, another outcropping of the Orion Molecular Cloud and one of the most recognizable assemblies in the heavens. Whereas the Orion Nebula generates enough light to be visible to the unaided eye, the Horsehead has a far lower surface brightness and presents a challenge to visual observers even with large telescopes. But it’s a delight for astrophotographers and arm chair stargazers.
The Horsehead complex lies just south of the brilliant blue supergiant star Alnitak, the easternmost star in Orion’s Belt and just north of the Orion Nebula. The glowing reddish-pink region in the background is cataloged by astronomers as IC 434. Like the Orion Nebula, IC 434 is an emission nebula. It’s powered by the blazing-hot star Sigma Orionis, just south of Alnitak. Much of the nebula is permeated by tenuous streaks caused by magnetic fields in the region. This extract from The Armchair Astronomer by Brian Ventrudo and Terry Hancock
