As many of you know Polaroid film has gotten very expensive. And the Polaroid55 is the worst! I have a box of 10 year old film and have been using it regardless. this is one. The negative is so washed out you can hardly believe it, but I'm actually getting good images from them. (My color polaroid film from ten years ago is completely gone. Utterly.)

Between shadow and light, romance quietly lingers.Captured in pure light, this bloom doesn’t demand attention — it earns it, whispering romance through every softened hue.

A new image from what was a stunning morning down within the Killarney National Park last Saturday morning. The conditions were exactly what I always hope for when visiting this stunning location. No wind, lovely reflections, nice clouds and some mist!
Always nice to come away with a new image from this stunning location.
Thank you very much for your time and for your faves!
(Just giving a fave is perfect if you like the photo, thank you!)
These are Smurf Marshmallows.
My 6yo son loves them... and I confess that I like them too! ;-)
Have a nice evening, dear friends!!! ;-)

Our magnolia (we call it magnolia but I know it is not like the ones down south) tree is blooming profusely ,,,,the tree was given to us 19 years ago by friends after our little granddaughter passed. The first year it had only 5 blooms on it,,, the exact age Morgan was when she passed,,,,since then it has gradually matured and now it is full of beautiful blooms!! I chose to do a soft focus as it seems appropriate .
Thanks so much for you visits
Pretty as a picture in my garden last spring, a magic moment when our unique Australian flannel flowers open.
The genus Actinotus contains 20 species, 19 of which are endemic to this country. This Actinotus helianthi has a natural range extending from central and south-eastern Queensland down to the south coast of New South Wales.
Varying in height from 50 cm up to 1.5 m. Depending on the environment, the nature of the plant varies between a large herbaceous plant and a small shrub.
The entire plant has a soft, woolly feel due to the presence of white hairs. Flowers are surrounded by green-tipped, white bracts; beautifully soft to the touch.
Each flower from 5 to 8 cm in diameter.

Details of sand dunes in soft evening light, Death Valley Naitonal Park.
Sand dunes are always fascinating subjects, both for their appearance as part of the larger landscape and because they contain almost infinite varieties of smaller subjects, textures, colors, and variations in light. I made a wild guess recently that I’ve probably been to Death Valley perhaps twenty-five times. You’d think that I might start to tire of the dunes or run out of things to photograph there… but there’s not sign of this happening.
We went to these dunes late in the day and had them entirely to ourselves. The light was challenging, as clouds were building to the west. As the clouds moved the light increased and decreased, but overall it remained quite soft the entire time. But this just provides another variation on how we can photograph this subject, and the soft light lets me reveal some subtle details that can be lost in brighter conditions. I made some post-processing choices here that highlight the variations in light and the soft forms of the dunes.
