Germany. Hohenheim Gardens. Macro. Sony A7II with e-mount adapted vintage lens Zenit MC Helios 44M-4 2/58mm. ISO 100. f/2. 1/1600s. Front lens swap for more swirly bokeh. Using a macro helicoid. Natural sunlight illumination. Closing the aperture for more sharpness is losing swirly bokeh ... so a wide-open shot was done.

This weekend I took my two sons and my father-in-law on a hike at Holland Lake, Montana. This is one of the prettiest spots I've come across in Montana, and one of the few I've visited multiple times (I've been on this hike at least 4 times now). It's an easy mile and a half or so and ends at a waterfall that overlooks the lake with the snow-capped Mission Mountains in the background.
On this occasion, we got on the trail a littler earlier than I'm used to and came across some neat late morning light that was reflecting some early fall colors into the pristine water.
