Sofia Milos, born of Italian-Greek heritage in Zurich, Switzerland, plays Celia Amonte in “Passionada.” Celia is the middle of three generations of Portuguese women living in the same house in the working-class city of New Bedford, Massachusetts. She’s a seamstress, a singer of Portuguese fado, and a widow who’s hidden her heart away. Until now. Milos has appeared in “Jane Austen’s Mafia!” and “The Ladies Man,” as well as the TV shows “Caroline in the City” and “The Sopranos.”

Sofia. Bulgaria. Found on an old memory stick. Can't remember the year, it pissed down all weekend, everything was shut because it was Easter & I broke my camera shortly after the last shot here was taken. But it remains one of the best times KDG and I have ever had.

If you found this photo via a Google image search because someone on Craigslist is looking for a nanny but it sounds suspicious, your suspicions are correct. That Craigslist poster is a scam and they are NOT the family pictured here. I took these photos for my friends back in 2009 and they currently do not live in the US. I am disheartened that my images are used in such an awful manner and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Erasmus + students Sofia Pinchuk (Ukraine), Vildanur Dinç (Turkey) and Mariyam Babayeva (Kazakhstan) at the dormitory of the Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland
Sofia Pinchuk had been studying in Poland and had finished the Erasmus course when war broke out and she found she was not able to get back home. She immediately received support from the Erasmus+ UKR office and continued her studies for 1 more year on full scholarship and funds to live and travel.
In response to the current situation in Ukraine, many European universities have offered their support to Ukrainian students by enrolling them in their courses, reducing or waiving tuition fees, and providing scholarships.

Sofia looks so much like an image of the Madonna here. The way she is draped and the plain, soft expression on her face all speak of quiet beauty and holiness. Just amazing.
I love the headdress that Sofia wore. The details are visually pleasing. Add a bit of a halo and these images reflect nearly exactly what I had in my Mind's Eye.
