sofia is a new friend i met about a month ago...i previously posted photos of a feral cat colony she tends. yesterday i visited sofia again, this time to photograph some of her rescued homeless animals that are ready for adoption. above is a member of her feral cat colony dropping by at feeding time.
My 7 year-old daughter Sofia is my muse and favorite model. I love to capture her playing with her little sister, laughing, dancing or running during our travels. She also has a lot of fun during our photo sessions, so I ask her to pose for me whenever I notice some beautiful light in the park near our house.

04025 on the dump line at Sofia Depot. It's possible that just two of these type of locos remain, both out of use at Sofia. Built by Simmering-Graz-Pauker between 1963-66 they numbered 50 locos, 13/09/14
These photos were taken on 17th of February in Sofia, Bulgaria where a protest against the power companies currently in service was organised. Although these companies were involved in corrupt activities and some even proven to have violated multiple legislation, there was heavy police and riot-police presence throughout the protest. There were clashes when the crowd reached the main office of the power company serving Sofia and that's when the police's complete lack of hesitation to use brutal force was evident. Riot police armed with shield and bats stormed into the crowd hitting people in their way. Fortunately no protestants were badly hurt.

Sofia and her partner Lucas were delighted to be part of my strangers project. They have been together for three and a half years. Lucas had recently been travelling around South-east Asia. When he returned from his travels, the couple came here together.
When I asked Sofia if she had anything to share, she told me that she is expecting a baby in two months time. I hadn’t noticed her bump until then. Back home in Sweden Sofia is an organic hairdresser. She is pleased that she will be able to spend time bringing up her child without having to completely give up work.
