Mein erster Versuch eine gefrorene Seifenblase abzulichten..

Es macht Spaß ist aber garnicht so einfach, da kann ich noch ein wenig üben

Thank you for your visits, comments and faves !!!

コスモス畑でモデル撮影をしている方々がいました。シャボン玉製造機なるものを持ってきていて、シャボン玉が次々出てきます。

おこぼれで飛んできたシャボン玉を入れてちゃっかり撮影しました。

There were people shooting models in the cosmos field. I brought a soap bubble making machine, and soap bubbles are coming out one after another.

I put in a soap bubble that flew away and took a picture.

How did the bubble level get into the bubble, that is the question?

I will be away for a week. Gone in search of new photos.

Leider zeigte meine Seifenblase kein Muster

I finally achieved bubble fusion. Clean power, zero emissions and no radioactive waste. Patent pending.

Bubbles Prelude

#sliderssunday

Tomorrow's Macro Mondays theme is "Bubbles". Back in May 2021, I had experimented with photographing soap bubble planets for the theme "Soap". Back then, I had four nice-looking, usable images of rainbow planets in the end, and I've always wanted to upload the other three photos, one at a time, "peu à peu", but somehow, I never got around to doing so. But what better opportunity to present one of these "outtakes" is there than the eve of another "bubbly" theme. So here it is: rainbow planet No. 2 :) Duly overprocessed for Sliders Sunday with several mask layers in Lightroom and some extra vibrancy added in Color Efex with the "Reflector Efex" filter.

You can find a link to my original "Soap" theme photo in the first comment. If you are interested in how to photograph soap bubble planets, you'll also find links to a few tutorials in the description of that first bubble planet photo.

I will try and take some new bubbles for tomorrow's "Bubbles" MM theme, let's see if I can come up with anything nice, if not, I'll skip ;) Wishing you a lovely first Sunday of Advent and Happy Sliders Sunday, dear Flickr friends!

Thank you for taking the time to comment on or fav this photo, it's very much appreciated! Happy LCoF

a new planet is discovered

Tuesday morning left for work at freezing 2f, -16C,

when I came home 9am it was 16F perfect for bubbles.

Looking Close ... on Friday theme: bubbles

Learning to photograph frozen soap bubbles.

The season has started for frozen bubbles, it was 15F perfect temperature for making bubbles. this time those bubbles stayed whole for the longest time,

stirring well is essential to blend all the liquids to become one.

Click on this link to get more info and the recipe for the bubbles.

Frozen soap bubble

From the day I'd first seen a soap bubble planet (if I remember correctly, it even was a photo I saw in the MM pool for our previous "Soap" theme), I knew I wanted to give it a try myself. No sooner said than done :) I've already tried to photograph frozen bubbles, so I was aware of the fact that it's a little tricky to get the right soap/water solution to make a bubble as stable and long lasting as possible. It took me a while to find the right setup for the bubble and the best camera settings, but once I'd figured it out it was such fun – pretty messy fun, I should add –, and in the end I picked four images out of literally hundreds, and I still found it hard to choose only one photo.

Here are the links to two very useful tutorials where you can find great tips regarding the creation of stable bubbles, interesting bubble patterns and also camera settings:

Manual settings work best for this, because the surface of the bubble will be in constant motion, so you'll need a very fast shutter speed to get a sharp image (and don't forget about the ISO settings, higher ISO helps tremendously! Why I am mentioning this? Because I almost always forget about the ISO settings, something I should definitely change). I've created my amazingly long lasting bubble inside the base of an eggcup (4,5 cm / 1,77 inches in diameter). If you blow at the bubble (with the straw you've used for creating the the bubble) ever so carefully, the most beautiful patterns and swirls will appear. So let the fun begin :)

HMM, Everyone, stay safe and healthy!
