U.S. Special Operations Command-Central's Civil Affairs team partnered with the Lebanese Armed Forces Civil Military Cooperation team and a non-government organization to distribute protective equipment throughout the region of Lebanon, Mar. 26, 2020. CAT 613, LAF and the NGO distributed 17,000 face masks and 120,000 gloves to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. These supplies will protect the LAF Soldiers participating and the civilians with which they come in contact.
Pfc. Peter Boreham of Paso Robles, Ca., plays Cpt. Harper at the Battle of Bastogne during World War II in this years Spirit of America (SOA). At the Battle of Bastogne, Americans defended against the last great offense of the Nazi army. Using Classroom Presenter for the XO (http://xo.orderedpixels.com), XO laptop here is the teacher, Thinkpad is the student, running Sugar on a Stick. Worked very well, connected via jabber server....
This is where I did my first MA. It's a small campus - three buildings in one cluster, one more a 15 min walk away, right next to the dorms, which I'm not counting as part of "campus".
I think the tree is meant to represent the tree of knowledge, which can be either an amusingly Eurocentric Biblical reference, or the complete opposite, a well-chosen symbol, as various trees of life / world trees / trees of knowledge appear in the myths and legends of a wide variety of cultures.
